How losing my voice may be helping me find it

I have been working on 2011 planning as I am sure a lot of you have as well. I have had quite a year both personally and professionally. This year more than any other I have had a major roller coaster ride. I am not sure what is going to happen with this and any feedback is certainly appreciated.Long story short this past May after just feeling "weird" for about a year, it was discovered that I had a golf ball sized tumor on my thyroid. So I was hurried up into surgery and everything was taken…See More

Profile Information

How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
I heard about 48Days.Net through following Dan. I hope to build relationships with fellow entrepreneurs and get ideas for building a great business.
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
self employed as a computer consultant, programmer and trainer.
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
become less self-employed and more of a business owner, move more into information products that can be sold 24/7, have clients come to me instead of me hunting them down and having to tackle them! I want to be able to build a team that can supplement and multiply my efforts.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
Would like to become less stressed about money, debt-free, put my kids through college, continue to supplement my husband's ministry "habit", have more free time to enjoy the fruits of my labor.
What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
I am highly analytical, but also able to communicate and train people. I enjoy working with software and creating programs that make people's jobs easier. I enjoy data crunching. I also enjoy graphic design and being creative.

I love challenges and puzzling situations. That I suppose is the core of troubleshooting and technical support.
Do you have a website presence anywhere?
http://www.pcstraining.net
If you have a product or service to promote (now or in the near future) this is your shot to state it! Say all you'd like:
All things technical for your business I can handle. Why spend hours trying to figure things out or learning an involved process? My goal is to get your business streamlined with technology that helps you be streamlined and work more effectively.

Services include but not limited to: Wordpress site design, Business "Tool" Box review- help you find tools you need and train you how to use them. Most are free or cheap and can have a huge impact on your time. Database design and maintenance

Using Technology to Simplify Appointment Scheduling

Posted on March 30, 2010 at 12:30am 3 Comments

What is worse than phone or email tag to schedule a simple phone call or meeting? The back and forth and back and forth, just when you think you got it, someone sneaks in and schedules the time before you get the

confirmation. Sometimes it takes longer to schedule the face to face than the

actually call or meeting.

So what is…

I need Expert Speakers!

Posted on February 16, 2010 at 3:59pm 7 Comments

Taking applications for speakers for a series I am doing, "FREEDOM! Emancipate yourself from your webmaster" Series. The goal is to get expert users to give strategies to entrepreneurs on how to get their message and content out on the internet professionally, Quick, EZ, and often, without waiting for the webmaster or web guru to get back to you.

The frustration a lot of my clients come to me with is something like this..."I need to advertise to my list about an event in a few days,… Continue

Why “One Price Fits All”, Doesn’t

Posted on January 19, 2010 at 11:00pm 5 Comments

Different Approaches Mean a Bigger Bottom Line

If you have only one offering to clients, you are expecting them to make a tough decision. In this price model you usually have a higher ticket item and a potential client has to decide if they like you enough to put up the cash. Your job is to make it easier on them.

Think about “courting” your customers before asking them to “marry” you. You need to give them opportunities to get to know you better and see if they are… Continue

Should I run my own business?

Posted on December 8, 2009 at 11:08pm 0 Comments

Owner or Operator?

Not sure what to do?

This is the second most asked question by the Virtual Assistants and other service providers I coach on a regular basis. Should they run their own business or be part of an existing team? The answer depends on the individual.

Let’s address it from the perspective of being a business owner. If the answer to running your own business is “No” or “Not yet”, then you have the answer to the second question.

Here are… Continue

Susan, it was great to see you and Tim in Nashville at the 48 Days Facilitator Certification. We had some lively discussions and I’m excited to see everyone get their classes up and running. If I can do anything to help (even if it’s to answer a question), let me know.

During the coaching I mentioned I have 101 free or low-cost ideas to help you market. Please fee free to download and use (no more than 2 or 3 initially) as you like.

Also, if you're trying to grow a business as a coach and want to see the model I've used successfully over the years, feel free to download the Six Figure Coaching Model I just put together.

Again, if I can help in any way, let me know.

All my best,
Justin
