Profile Information

How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
I read Dan's book and visited the website. I have also heard Dave Ramsey refer to Dan and his resources. I would like to learn more about writing and publishing. I would also like to learn about the basics of starting and running a business. Hopefully, I can share my knowledge and experience as it relates to particular topics within the community.
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
Training Manager for a major electric utility in the south. My group handles Engineering and Operations training. I also create crafts on the side and occassionally sell them as hobby income.
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
I really love my current job, but would like to find other opportunities to create multiple income streams. My passion centers around educating and developing others. I enjoy blogging and have create 2 blogs. One focuses on spiritual growth and development and the second focuses on crafts, hobbies, and creativity. I would love to create some type of info/training product tied to these blogs that would be an additional income stream.

I currently generate a small additional income stream from selling crafts.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
My relationship with God transcends all areas, and I try to make sure God is the center. My family is very important, and I pray that my successes will bless them and others.
What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
I enjoy teaching others and sharing knowledge to help others grow professionally and spiritually. I lead a believers mastermind group and enjoy developing content for our studies. I enjoy solving problems and creating.

Thinking Outside

Posted on March 30, 2012 at 11:43am 2 Comments

Many have heard the expression, "think outside the box." I say why not just "think outside"? For centuries, God has showcased many wonderful lessons through the natural world--His creation. Not an outdoors person? No problem, but to some extent we all interact with nature, and it's easily accessible to most of us. Even our backyard can be a world of discovery.

Hiking, hunting, fishing and kayaking--they've all been lifelong pursuits. A great deal of my work ethic comes from hours… Continue

Changing Your Conjunction

Posted on January 13, 2012 at 8:30pm 0 Comments

No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.

Matthew 6:24

"Conjunction Junction, what's your function?"  Many of you remember this little song from Schoolhouse Rock.  This isn't a post about grammar, but this particular part of speech can make a huge difference in our lives.  And the Matthew 6:24…

Lessons from the Eagle

Proverbs 30:18 mentions “the way of an eagle in the sky” as one of three amazing wonders.  I too continue to be inspired by this great bird.  The eagle has many lessons to share.

Hi Steven,

Thanks for the offer of use of your studies. I may take you up on that in concept. Currently the studies I offer have a very simple but structured angle, but I am planning as one of the future plans on having more topical based studies and this is where I would see the greatest use for the type of study that I saw on your site. Keep up the good work because the more ways we can look at the Bible, the more things we learn and grow.

Thanks for joining Strengthen My Spiritual life here on 48days.net. Feel free to start discussions and chime in on current ones if they are interesting.

Looking forward to continued growth in 2011!

Hi Stephen,

Thanks for sharing your Bible Study in the Write it Forward group. I looked over your study on the Holy Spirit and it looks interesting, and I plan on looking further into it at a later date.

You may be interested in the newsletter that I write over at Reflective Bible Study and as a free gift for signing up, I include a 30 day study series called Beginnings (101). While the studies probably cover stuff that you already know, you may find it interesting.

And again, thanks for sharing your Bible Studies with the write it forward group!
