What are you feeding your pets?

Posted on January 14, 2009 at 1:40pm 0 Comments

Did you know that nearly all the pet food manufacturers have had products on the pet food recall list? Even the big names like Iams & Science Diet have been on the list. Did you know that some manufacturers use ingredients like feathers, beaks & hair? Do you know why? They are cheap protein. Animals in the wild don't even eat those parts. There is no regulation as to where the protein comes from just as long as the right amount is included in the food. What is the protein source in your… Continue

God said “Let US make man in OUR image, according to OUR likeness..” Gen 1:26 So God created man in His own image: in the image of God He created him; male & female He created them. Gen 1:27 “….God is love.” 1 John 4:8 Therefore we are love. We were created by love. We were created to love. We were created to be loved. We were “fearfully & wonderfully made. Marvelous are His works”. Psalm 139:14 God made us each on purpose, with a plan. He “..formed our inward parts.” .. Psalm 139:13.… Continue

Wow. What valuable information you have here!
You give some interesting news about Pet food and what to watch out for. Good stuff :) Thank You Rhoda.
Many blessings and wishes on growing your business! Looks like you got it! I'm confident myself that you'll be able to quit your current job soon, and it will soon (if not already) be all a matter of taking that leap.
I'm not sure how your numbers are right now, but for what little bit I know, and for what it's worth, my advice would be to build your cash reserve that will support you a few to several months, and then when you make the leap you'll be all hands on deck with your independent work. That motivation of having made it and being on your own is sure to result in more dollars to flow in.
Best of wishes to you!

Hey Rhoda! Thanks for touching base with me. I'm so happy to hear that your business is doing well. I have had a lot of activity, too, and lots of irons in the fire, but nothing that is generating any new income for me yet. I probably spend about three to four hours a day on this site...networking and marketing and just talking to and helping other people. It's addictive. I wish I had the time to read everyone's blogs and discussions....but, I don't. Thanks for telling me about Kevin Miller's blog. I'll make a point to check that one out. Keep me posted on what you are doing and stay in touch!

Interesting. Well, you seem passionate about what you are doing. That is what really drew me in. After reading your profile....I thought....here is someone who really "cares" about what she is doing. That is the problem with most people. They don't care...and they lack passion.

You have really been through it...haven't you? Your divorce, your mom passing away, your children living with their fathers, job dissatisfaction. WOW! I'm so sorry that you've had to go through all of that. You must be an incredibly strong person. Not many people would have survived all of that. I admire you....and your strength. If you ever need anyone to talk to, you can talk to me. I'm a pretty good listener....who has also been through many trials and tribulations. This past year has been an especially difficult one for me. My personal email address is Debbie8155@aol.com. Feel free to contact me anytime. Hang in there. If there is one thing I know for sure it's that everything passes. Brighter days are ahead for you. I hope that your purpose in life is revealed to you soon. They say if you think back to your childhood....to the one thing that gave you the greatest joy....that is probably where your real passion lies. For me...it was always children. What was it for you?

We seem to have much in common. I just ended a three year relationship. At the same time, I walked away from a well-paying job (I contracted physicians for 63 hospitals all over the country). I made the decision after working for 30 years in a corporate environment that I was tired of working in an unhealthy environment full of corruption and dishonest and back-stabbing people. So, I fired my boss....and started my own company and I couldn't be happier. Do I miss that big paycheck every month....I sure do. It hasn't been easy. But, I'm so much happier and I know I am on the right path. I'm trying to establish a good solid client base now; however, I still have a void in my life. I really feel like my "calling" is to work with children. I believe that work should be done on a volunteer basis...but, I haven't figured out yet in what capacity. If I could make a living doing it, that would be ideal, but I don't have a degree in social work, and most non-profits don't pay very well.

Anyway, I do know what you are going through. I can relate. Hang in there. I hope that this next year will be the best one ever....for both of us! :o)

I think about getting another Himalayan cat or dog all the time. This is the first time in my life that I've been without a pet. It's weird to not have to scoop things out of a litter box several times a day. I'm serious when I say that it's a wonder I don't have carpul tunnel syndrome in my right wrist from the thousands of times I've done that over the years. HA! But, I'm a very responsible pet owner and I know that in adopting a pet, I am making a commitment for the next ten to fifteen years. I just don't know if I'm ready to do that right now. I've been traveling a lot and also enjoying the freedom of not having to take care of a pet at this time. But, I do miss having something to love....and kiss....and care for and to love me back. I'm sure when the time is right, I'll know it.

Oh, I almost forgot. Your page is DARLING! LOVE IT! You need to join the group Faith-Based Millionaires on here. I don't think many people know you are even here. If you join Faith-Based Millionaires, an email will be sent to all the members letting them know you joined. They will read your profile and introduce themselves to you. Make yourself known. There are a ton of really good people on this site who would really appreciate hearing about your products.
