Formatting inside the covers

Good morning all!  As I continue to work on my next book, I am conducting additional research on the formatting of the paragraphs and words.  I have noticed that there are a number of different recommendations for the fonts. One article I read, recommended that Times was not an especially good font to use nor was Arial.  However, Garamond was a recommended font on several web pages and articles.  I would appreciate input from the readers here on what they use/ recommend.  I am publishing a World…See More

Profile Information

How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
The books. I have been trying to learn what "new" passion I can grasp as I complete my career in the active military.
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
Full-time employee for the Army. I have fulfilled my goals and now I am ready to transition back to the "civilian" community.
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
Discovering a way to be self-employed, and still spend quality time with the family. My father died way to young (60 y.o.) when I was 16. Sever emotional experience for me. I don't want to leave my family like that. I suppose I am selfish in saying I want it all. I want the ability to spend qualtiy time with family and have a good income as well, preferably from home.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
Return to civilian flying for leisure, restore a classic car, build a house. Start a home based business that can be pretty much put on automatice and needs minimum interaction from me.
What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
After almost 30 years in the Army, I still don't know what to do afterward. Growing up, I only wanted to be in the military, so I have been. 2nd act is coming up and I can't stomach the thought of working for an employer. I have done the whole leadership, career guidance and counseling thing. So suggestions are welcome.
Do you have a website presence anywhere?
http://No yet.
If you have a product or service to promote (now or in the near future) this is your shot to state it! Say all you'd like:
I have a very close and good friend that I have been co-writing a ebook together. We named it "Our Fathers Land". We are doing it through Createspace and hopefully will be published soon.

Hi Monty,

Welcome to the Unlock Your Passion group!

I'm so glad you've decided to join.

You're automatically entered to win one of three 48 Days products for joining the group as one of the first 48 members. Check out the products I'm giving away.

It's great that you jumped right in and posted a discussion. I responded and it looks like other group members are responding as well.

You may also want to check out another discussion we have going on right now.

It's an exercise I like to have people do where they name their top 3 favorite movies - we'd love to hear yours.

I wish you much success in your pursuit to live and work in your passions.

I look forward to connecting with you further in the group.

All My Best,

Adam Rico

Welcome Monty!

I try to take time each week to welcome new members to 48Days.Net. So, let me say "welcome" to you! I know you will find this to be a great site filled with people who are experiencing true success in both life and work.

Also, I'd like to point out that one of the best places to connect with other liked-minded people here is in the GROUPS section. There are groups for just about every interest you can think of, and if you can't find a group that interests you, you can start one. Groups are my favorite part of 48Days.Net!

Finally, if you happen to be a speaker or author (or want to become either), check out these two groups. They are two of the most popular groups on the site because of all the great conversation taking place:

* Speak It Forward -- REAL Success and Profit for Speakers!
* Write It Forward -- REAL Success and Profit for Writers!

Again, enjoy 48Days.Net. It's a great place to be!

Live it forward,
Kent Julian
