How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
I've known Dan for about 7 years.
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?

And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
Our goal is always to deliver the highest value to our clients so that we become the De Facto Standard in business acceleration and sales training.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
I have multiple goals in all of the strategic areas of my life: Fatih, Family, Finance, and Fitness. Probably the biggest area I am pushing hard on right now is in my personal fitness. At 43, I am working to get int he best shape of my life.

PERSISTENCE! The Master Key to Success!

Posted on January 27, 2009 at 2:00am 4 Comments

As I have worked with business professionals over the last 20 years, one of the top traits that I've observed in successful people is...

Persistence

In business, just as in life, there will always be setbacks, obstacles, delays, and trials. The strength of a successful business does not lie in its ability to create a trouble free existence.

No, it's strength instead lies in its ability to persist through those obstacles, setbacks, delays, and… Continue

VISION: What Do You See?

Posted on January 25, 2009 at 1:30am 4 Comments

Isn't it interesting that two people can look at the same picture and see something totally opposite.

The same seems to hold true in business. Why is it that one person can look at a situation and see great opportunity while the next sees nothing but problems?

Look no further than the current economic slowdown to see this illustrated. Some focus so much on the gloom and doom of the economy that they miss great opportunities.

It reminds me of the story of the two… Continue

Which One Are You?

Posted on January 23, 2009 at 1:30am 1 Comment

As I have coached people over the last 20 years (either in corporate or within my own Coaching and Consulting firm), I have noticed a definite trend.

I try not to stereotype, but most business people (and people in general), tend to all into one of two camps:

1) The first camp are those that "Talk A Good Game".

2) The second camp are those that "Take Action".

Without reading any further, I'm certain you have already identified which camp you… Continue

Cooking Up Profits!

Posted on January 22, 2009 at 2:03pm 0 Comments

When I was a kid growing up in east Texas, some of my favorite memories are of all the delicious meals that my mama prepared for our family.

Mama was an excellent cook - even if she did tend to fry almost everything! I can remember being out working cattle or building fence and then smelling the fried chicken from a mile away!

Through the years mama collected and created quite a few recipes which she assembled into a massive cook book.… Continue

Strategy 1: Provide Value.

We concluded that the best way to provide value is to 1) know who you are and what you have to offer and 2) know who your customer is and understand what they value.

Are you part of the 3%???

Posted on January 12, 2009 at 4:25pm 1 Comment

What are your goals for 2009? If you haven't set them yet, it's not too late. Stop reading right now and go grab a pencil and paper.

On the first sheet of paper, outline the areas that you would like to set goals. I personally set goals in 10 different areas ranging from my Faith, my Business, my Family, and having fun.

On the next sheet of paper, write the category name at the top of the paper (one sheet per category). Then begin to list your short term (90 day),… Continue

Need a Big Bag of Cash??

Posted on January 12, 2009 at 3:45pm 0 Comments

I don't know about you, but I could certainly use a big bag of cash. I suspect you could too. However, we both know that there is no bailout plan for individuals or small businesses. Only those entities that our government deems as "too big to fail" receive big bags of cash.

And quite frankly, I'm glad there is no bailout for you or me. If there was, it would be much like winning the lottery...empty! I may be stepping on some toes, but if your… Continue

Hello Mike.

I am one of the groups administrators here at 48days. Due to inactivity on your "Born to Win in Sales", I'm afraid I will have to remove it. I do apologize, but with so many folks seeking active groups on various topics, it is doing members, especially new ones, a disservice by keeping groups up that cannot serve them well. I hope you understand. I will give you 10 days to remove any content or contact information you would like to save. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you,,

Hi, Mike. It's been a LOOONG time since I've been on here. I took a look at your site and am very impressed. I am wondering if you have any advice for someone like myself, contemplating going it alone as a consultant. I am wondering about partnering, recommended training as a coach/consultant, certifications, etc. that you might recommend. Thanks in advance for your time and attention!

Thank you for taking the time to engage with me. My pc was the culprit in my lack of response. I appreciate you reaching out. Right now I am in a delicate situation re- bounding. Moving from deep depression, to breaking thru and ready to re gain myself worth and intergirty. I am ready willing and able to make a difference in my life, so that some I may empower another lost soul who sit where I once sat. To sum it all up I need a mentor in the food arenea who knows how to take me to the next level of francishing and or placing the product into the freezer section in the supermarket...
