Profile Information

How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
I heard about the community, where else? The podcast! I am a firm believer in what Zig Ziglar says about You are who you are because of what you put into your mind. And not just once, not just one motivational speach or touching sermon, but EVERY day. Constantly be streaming into your mind information that motivates and inspires you to be better, and to live more consciously. Thank you!
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
I am a stay-at-home mother of three, and also began writing a few years ago. My first ebook "18 Best Starter Businesses for Stay-at-Home-Moms" was a practive project, and my full-length nonfiction project "How to be Poor" has been picked up by a Christian publisher and I am finishing up with that right now. I also make chocolate covered strawberries and sell them, as well as clean houses in my "spare" time. My other big earning point is that I earn money on the back end . . . meaning that I make my husband's small salary dollars stretch as ABSOLUTELY far as they will go. It's a blast, and I really have a heart for young women in lower-income brackets and those who are living below the poverty level. I want to wake them up, energize them, and break the cycle!
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
Simply to reach as many as I can for the Lord. Everything that is good and lovely will come out of that goal.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
My personal goals are too numerous to recall without my list! But a few are as follows: Learn Sign Language and teach it to my children (we're doing that now), become more organized in every area, celebrate becoming debt-free properly with a big fat act of generosity amounting to at least ten thousand dollars, put more positive things into my mind per day-if that's possible, write one well-thought-out book per year that motivates young men and women to break the cycle of poverty, find Christ, and be better parents and spouses to each other, to learn three new languages in ten years, the lsit goes on and on...........
What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
I am a helper. It is what God created me to do, lined out in The Great Big Book of Everything (the Bible), and I believe my best quality is that I strive from before sun-up to after sun-down to make sure I fit that description ("her lamp does not go out at night......her arms are strong for her tasks......she gets up while it is still dark..."). God made me to be a helper to my husband, so even in all that I would like to accomplish for myself, I think every day about how I can help him acheive his goals as well. And sometimes, well, my job as his helper is to just convince him that day to actually HAVE goals. But it's all in the Plan and it's my pleasure to have this role! So fun!

When you lose your umph!

Posted on February 18, 2012 at 5:12pm 0 Comments

I don't know why I lose my umph sometimes......being a business owner (house cleaning business, scrubbing toilets-oh yeah!), entrepreneur, homeschooling mother of three.....but I do!  And boy was I embarrassed THIS week.

_____

I have fallen prey to the wishes and dreaming part of being a writer, blogger, entrepreneur and just got slapped in the face this week with a little dose of “obvious”.

As I was going over all the big things I have planned for 2012 in my head, big…

How old are you?

How old will you be tomorrow?

What is on your list of things "To Do" while you're here on this earth?

Are you going to explode if you don't get them done right NOW?

The answer should be no, but sometimes I'm not so sure.  Read the full article here (it's short!) and then I'd like to know the following things!

1.)  Are you where you thought you…

Staying true to the style of my personal blog, I'm throwing this post in here just for fun!  It's an easy way to blow a few minutes......and if you need it to mean something, or to learn something from it, then just tell yourself when you're done:  "There is profit in all labor!"  (Proverbs 14:23)
