Making Money's NOT for me....

Posted on October 27, 2011 at 11:59pm 3 Comments

There is a really sinister enemy lurking in the recesses of my mind. DOUBT.

As I have been working through a new business plan with some help from friends here on 48days it became clear to me that my head wasn't totally in the game.

I LOVE my new idea.  I think it has lots of merit and huge potential to really bring me great financial, business and personal fulfillment.  It's a solid idea, it's a great fit for my gifts and personality and "calling", the plan is clear, the…

Why I hired a VA before I knew what to do with them

Posted on October 21, 2011 at 2:46pm 5 Comments

I needed to develop my "business owner skills"

I first hired a Virtual Assistant simply to make myself take some action that was way out of my immediate comfort zone.  I had been listening to Dan Miller and all the other masters of success talking about moving from a position of trading dollars for hours to getting paid for results. The problem - I was trading dollars for hours and it didn't make sense to just drop what I was doing right then and there.

I…

The 3 stupidest moves a "Shiney Object" guy/gal can ever make

Posted on October 19, 2011 at 5:30pm 2 Comments

Me - "Hello, My name is Matthew and I'm a Shiney Object guy"

Small group meeting in church basement, sitting on folding chairs arranged in a small circle, drinking coffee from small styrofoam cups- "Hi Matthew!"

This is my imagined support group. A group of hyper-active, super creative, very passionate, yet easily distracted individuals.  We are all different ages and come from various backgrounds but share this one "issue" in…

#1 Sure Fire Tip to avoid being OVERWHELMED...

Posted on February 25, 2011 at 1:29pm 0 Comments

I recently learned this tip from the podcast over at www.InternetBusinessMastery.com

They relayed how many entrepreneurs (why does that have to be such a difficult word to spell?-not many of us self starters are necessarily great spellers...) will jump into a new idea but quickly get derailed because of the enormous learning curve, especially as it relates to the internet and technology.

I know Dan talks about 48…

Matthew,

So excited and proud of you! Congrats on being Dan's member of the week. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE what was written, "I told him he was too unfocused and that I wasn’t too optimistic about the business model he was proposing. This year he gave me an update oniHelpYouLaunch that blew me away. He now has clear options, 15 virtual assistants working full time and is generating net profits most of you are still dreaming of."

The you have made the IMPOSSIBLE become POSSIBLE - very inspirational and encouraging for those of us to see such success!!!

All is well. Thanks for asking. It's been a while since I've been out on 48Days.net

I've picked up the guitar this year and got a few cords down now. I'm a bit envious of your guitar skills. ;-) Your music is very good, btw.

Winnovate is great, growing, changing structure as we expand and bring more people into the mix, and consuming all of my work time and some of my personal time. I'm very blessed & thankful to be in this situation.

My girls are growing up too fast. Gabby (6) lost her first tooth the other day, which for some reason was a bigger deal to me than I thought it would be. She is obsessed with reading. Maddy (3) is the clever, destructive one, more like me I suppose.

Jill & I celebrated our 13th anniversary back in May. Sounds strange to say.

I scanned your profile again and it is striking how common our path and goals are.

Do you have any web related issues you would like my advice on? I'll be happy to freely share what I know with you.

Let me know, thanks.
