- What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
- For the past 17 years have run a small business bookkeeping franchise specialising in day to day bookkeeping for other small businesses. The business has had its ups & downs due to a range of factors.
- And then...what is the goal/dream you are striving for regarding your work life?
- I am an ideas person & would like to move away from this current business into developing these many ideas into something more viable for me & others. I am also a big picture person.
- How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
- Trying to make a bigger community impact through some of the ideas I have.
- What would you say are your core competencies? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
- Being an ideas person, a strategic big picture thinker.

Good guess. And it is. This is what branding and positioning is all about. I started my company and the original name was "Life Quest." I didn't like it, but I couldn't think of anything better. But I kept noddling and writing down ideas. I wrote down more than 200 potential names. Then, one night I was watching Pay It Forward and about 1/2 through it, I said...THAT'S IT. That's my business name!!! Since then, I've actually done teleseminars on branding and positioning b/c people think the name of my business is so awesome. Just goes to show, the best ideas usually pop after hours and hours of noddling, journaling, and thinking.
