Dr. DIY - Personal | Health | Care

Simple Answers

Why is it so difficult to eat healthy? Why do they squeeze the peanut oil out of peanut butter, and replace it with alternative oils? Why are breads made without whole grain flours? Why is there fluoride in your toothpaste? It really boils down to following the money.  Subsidized oils are cheaper and the peanut […]

Same Work — More Value

It’s possible that we could already be spending time and money for things that deliver no significant value, when we could transition to something better, healthier, and greener. When we place more value on a manicured lawn and less value on the foods we eat, we’ve already lost the battle for health and abandoned the […]

Brand Agnostic Labeling Similarities

One thing I’ve noticed, with “healthy” snack or energy bars, is that even they tend to hide the ingredients. Here’s an example of a newcomer to this shelf space who “presumably” has nothing to hide, prominently displaying 99% Organic status and Kosher monikers on the front of the package — yet they do hide some […]

Is Raw Food Inherently Safe?

Here’s a “name-calling,” “evidence-posting” attempt to inform you that raw foods aren’t always safe, and minimally processed foods aren’t either. To the best of my knowledge, these bars are being co-manufactured – meaning the brand owner, is hiring a third-party to make them, which in this case is because of the size and scale of […]

Ready | Aim | Fire | Aim | Fire | Aim | Fire

The principles of “ready-aim-fire” and “ready-fire-aim” are both well intended, and they both miss the mark — pun intended. Zeroing in a target requires about three shots to properly align the crosshairs and “dial-in” the shooter’s accuracy. It’s just as dangerous to get caught in preparation paralysis as it is to continually waste your efforts […]

Hi Dr. Smith!
Thanks for reaching out! Let's talk when you have time. My hope is to create an opportunity for Private label for practitioners with as few as 24 units per order. I have some manufacturing relationships that may allow for that size volume for private label.

Feel free to call me some time: 772.202.8216

Be well!

Thanks, Lee. I appreciate your insight. The group approval process is lead up by Rob Clinton. Among other things, they look at the activity of the groups and had deleted a bunch about 6-8 months ago. We want an active site, and if things are sitting dormant without activity, it's hard for new members to figure out where to plug in.

Thanks for replying, Lee. And you're absolutely right. You've been great on this site, in fact one of our top people. If we only let our top people promote their stuff however, we become hypocrites. People begin to wonder why some people can promote their stuff and not others.

It might be worth exploring a new group where people can post links to their free stuff. When I think through that however, I don't think I'd join, just to get notified of free eBooks. That's my opinion and not that of the community, which is why we should perhaps explore it.

Would you join a group like that? And I'd like you to think of it in terms of a person NOT posting something. Because we'll have no shortage of people posting their resources. But will we have people honestly interested in being a member in order to download the next free eBook?

At the end of the day, we want the forums to be an active place where discussions are happening. We don't get that if people are only posting links to their downloads.

I'd love your feedback here, Lee. And thanks for understanding.

Hey, Lee, thanks for posting on 48days.net.
The forums are specifically a place to ask questions and get advice from folks and we ask that you stick to getting feedback and avoid promoting your stuff. Your book looks great, but if we encouraged everyone to do the same, the forums would be filled with links instead of great discussions.

A better way to promote your book would be to reach out directly to the friends you've already connected with here and let them know about your book.

To avoid being deleted in the future, please remember the forums are a place to ask honest questions and get guidance from your peers. If you have questions, let me know.
