What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?

YOUR HONORED 48Days.NET 'IDEA NETWORK' HOST of the following groups:
* Speak It Forward -- REAL Success and Profit for Speakers!
* Write It Forward -- REAL Success and Profit for Writers!

I'm self-employed and own 2 businesses: Live It Forward LLC and Inside Out Youth Worker

The work I do through these 2 companies revolves around four areas:

1. Speaking/Presenting: I speak all across the country to middle school and high school students, educators, youth workers, and business leaders. I speak on a variety of topics, all of which focus on empowering people to "live it forward" in the most important roles of their lives.

2. Life and Career Coaching: I do life and career coaching with 3-5 clients a month through Live It Forward. I also provide Outplacement Assistance and Career Solutions for organizations and businesses.

3. Writing: I've authored and/or published 6 books and write regular for several magazines.

4. Leadership Consulting: I serve several organizations through Leadership Consulting.

And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?

I want to continue to see Live It Forward LLC and Inside Out Youth Worker grow in order to serve even more people who are seeking to "live it forward" in the most important roles of their lives. Also, my big goals for this year (2009) revolve around the following three areas:

* Strategic marketing
* Product development
* Website enhancement

How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?

I coach a 160 member swim team and LOVE it! I am also an avid exerciser (running, strength training, swimming). I just had minor knee surgery to repair a meniscus tear I've had for years. I'm healing well, so very soon I should be back at it better than ever.

I absolutely love my wife, Kathy. And we have three wonderful children. I spend a lot of time investing in my family -- they are of utmost importance to me.

I'm also going to a new level in personal education. I'm reading more than ever and listening to more educational audios than ever before. To me, keeping a clear, proactive mind during challenging times is so important. I'm a big believer in being 100% responsible for my life. Therefore, I strive to live accordingly.

What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?

* Communication -- spoken and written.
* Inspiration and empowerment -- helping others "live it forward" in the most important roles of their lives.
* Leadership
* Goal-setting and goal-getting

* Bottom-line, pragmatic ideas and implementation.

How to Keep the Big Things in Front of You in a BIG Way!

Posted on February 9, 2012 at 8:11am 3 Comments

I had a blast making this short video. The reason? It allowed me to answer the question "what is success" by sharing some a couple of ideas on setting goals, achieving goals, and keeping the big things in front of us in a big way. Plus, it was one of those unique times when a lot of things that I'm passionate about came together in a pretty cool way.

"NO" is not a 4-letter words

Posted on October 11, 2011 at 7:45am 3 Comments

Every choice moves us closer to or farther away from something. Where are your choices taking your life? What do your behaviors demonstrate that you are saying "yes" or "no" to in life?

— Eric Allenbaugh —

This might sound counterintuitive, but moving forward requires saying “no.” Yet saying “no” is a hard skill to develop, especially if you enjoy helping people. Who wants to be…

You clearly focus on creating content that is true, noble, excellent, praiseworthy, etc. Thanks for investing your time and energy into the work that you do.

Hi Kent,

Thanks so much for your welcome post and the suggestions on a couple of groups. Right now I'm trying to look through the groups to decide who one(s) I want to join. My real work right now is to figure out what my dream life style would be and then creating a plan to achieve it. It is encouraging to read all of the posts from people who are living their dream. I feel like I'm in the right place just wish it hadn't taken so long to find it.
