How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
I heard about it from Dan Miller's podcast, referred from Dave Ramsey. I hope to continue to get inspiration and motivation from those members who have succeeded!
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
I have been a practicing physician for 13 years and have been looking for ways to transition out of clinical medicine. I have just been hired as a Physician Advisor and will be able to work from home (or anywhere) helping hospitals to manage patient care and improve revenue.
I am also working for a wellness company as a physician chef doing cooking videos from my home. This will provide me with a marketing platform for my upcoming cookbook.
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
When I first joined this community, I often joked about my work goals being 1. to be able to live anywhere, and 2. to be able to take my dogs to work with me. Well - after almost 2 years, I have acheived those goals.
Still working on my new goals!!
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
We have finally realized our dream of moving to Hawaii! We are just months away from being debt-free!
What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
I tend to see things from the "30,000 foot view." I don't get caught up in the details. I live "outside of the box" and try to be creative in figuring out how to do things.
One of my longtime dreams was to be a lounge singer. I actually used to joke about it, never really thinking it would happen! Well, I started taking voice lessons and my voice teacher and I, along with one other lady, just got our first gig!!!So, we need a name. We are 3 women aged 60, 50, and 30. One is the piano player. We are still uncertain of our brand but think we will aim for the over-50 crowd (our first gig is at the Elk's club). We will be doing a lot of the 50's and 60's girl-group…See More
"1. I get up earlier than I need to in order to have a peaceful, quiet time to read.
2. Turn off the TV.
3. Get a Kindle - got one as a gift last year even though I wasn't sold on the idea. Best gift I EVER got. Both my husband and I read at…"
Hi Kathy! I have had you on my mind. How is the tv show coming along? I was so impressed with the utube vid on cutting the pineapple and learning more about its benefits that we used the process you showed for the wedding. Did Dan or I ever send you pictures of that event? I am losing it in my "old age" and busy life! I hope you are doing well and things are progressing nicely for you. Would love an update. You can email me directly at Joanne@48Days.com. Blessings, jfm
Kathy, send me your e mail address to email@example.com so I can pass the e mail on to the docs about reviewing your book and possibly writing a review. My grandmother passed this past Sunday; 19 Days to the day her husband did. Was glad it was not while we were on the ship and glad she is at rest and in glory with mom and grandpa and dad now. Linda and I enjoyed meeting you and your husband.
Congratulations on your book!! That must feel really great! Such a pleasure to meet you & your husband on the cruise. I'll definitely be in touch. Many blessings to you & the best of success with your book.
I think we'll just order one of the seasick products; my family should be together most of the time anyway, so that should be enough. Please confirm that you received this message.
By the way, we weren't able to get the $79 rate at Courtyard Marriott, so we're staying at Hyatt Place near the airport. We really like their hotels, plus they do have a free airport shuttle - and $12 shuttle to port.
Thanks in advance,
Which Courtyard Marriott did you find at that $79 rate? Was it a "name your own price" deal, or was it the published price on priceline? I'm still looking for a hotel on the 19th - and would love to find one with a shuttle (possibly) to the port...
Thanks in advance,
I apologize for the delay in responding. I'll give you short answer here. Mostly, just continue supervising their play as you have been, and use common sense about when to intervene. In the podcast, I'll go into detail about when you should or shouldn't intervene. I hope to have that recorded this weekend, and I'll message you when it's available. -Greg
The dog in my picture is Sugar, and I fostered her for an animal shelter a few years ago. Yes, I am looking for questions for the podcast. I am hoping to have the first episode recorded by this coming weekend, and I could use some more material, so your questions would be welcomed.
PS Also, check out the free e-resource I offer entitled Goal-Setting That Actually Works! ($47 Value) to those who join the REAL Success E-Zine community (also free) at www.liveitforward.com. I think you'll really get a ton out of both these resources.
