How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
I heard of 48days.net through Dan. I am going to get out on my own and do the work that I love. I look to help others, and hope to get useful help from them. I want to push and be pushed by people looking for success. I will not be the jack of all trades and the master at none.
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
I am currently a Project Engineer for a company in MI. I am also an Midwest Representative for Shred Stixx Wakesurfing company. In 2009 I look to generate additional income, pursue my dream of getting out of this cube. I have also been designing and manufacturing wakesurf boards from my apartment, however this has not generated any additional income YET!!
And then...what is the goal/dream you are striving for regarding your work life?
My dream is to work in the extreme sports industry. I dream of living in the industry everyday of my life. This is what I am striving to do and pursuing from here on out.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
My personal life is hectic, and a work of art. In the future I hope to be married, and live my version of the "The American Dream." I would like to have my own products, my own store, and to build a residual income that I have never had before. To become closer to family, friends, and action sports is an achievement that will always be living with me.
What would you say are your core competencies? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
I am a friendly person who enjoys helping others. I am a persons person. I am also a hard worker. Coaching, teaching, and helping are all things I enjoy doing as much as possible. People also call me weird. I do things the opposite of what you might think I am going to do. Willing to jump right out of the box.

Making a Transition

Posted on December 2, 2009 at 11:03am 1 Comment

Throughout the last year or less, I have been pushing and pushing to get a business started. Now that the year is almost up, I see myself in a transition stage. When wrote my first business plan in early February I thought I had a plan that was going to set me off in a clear direction. Little did I know that I was going to learn more than I ever have about business, selling, marketing, blogging, and most of all, myself.

Because of this learning curve, I feel like I am in a transition… Continue

#10. To get out on a boat, increase your self esteem, and forget about everything that is going on in the news!

#9. Because the world is in a recession, and if you are going to spend your money, it might as well be on gas for wakesurfing.

#8. Because those out there wakeboarding, hate the rollers that you are going to send across the lake.

#7. Instead of breaking your knees, you get to ride the endless break.

#6. To try and swamp the boats pulling 3… Continue

Hey Jonathan I'm actually looking into doing a skydive apparel line, wanting to start small and build up, just good to meet someothers that are into the extreme sports and especially creating things for that industry.

Do you guys travel around and show people how to wake surf??? Being a Michigander, I think you should just drive up and down the coast this summer, and market your boards. I go to the beach in St. Joe (Silver Beach), and Stevensville/Baroda area. (Waco beach). I rarely have seen anybody doing this. Usually a young crowd at both of those. There is a festival in St. Joe on the beach called the Venetian Festival in July(?). HUGELY popular, I say take your show on the road. Hope your business takes off like mad.
