How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
I had /have been getting Dan Miller's internet letter for quite some time and it was, of course, mentioned in one of his newsletters.
I hope to get; encouragement, ideas, support, friends, new ways of thinking and approaching solutions, and probably more that I can't think of at the moment.
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
part time employee--generating some income of my own.
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
regional traveling instructor in adult education: parenting/anger management classes and teaching relapse prevention classes to aid those with addictions prevent relapse. The second goal is developing my leather art business; carving pictures and scenes as well as portraits in leather.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
Self employment income that will permit travel/more time with wife and family and allow the ability to fulfill, as you put it, doing well while doing good!
I love the Lord and want desperately to serve Him in every thing that I do.
I have been married 50 years (in June '08), three sons and 9 grand children.
What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
My gift is teaching and relating to people. At 72 years of age I seem to be able to relate to 12 year olds as well as older people. I also am told that I have a talent as a leather artist.
I want to use my life experiences to benefit others; I wasted too much time serving myself and I want to help others not to do that.
If you have a product or service to promote (now or in the near future) this is your shot to state it! Say all you'd like:
Adult education classes and my art work. My art is for sale. I do not have a website as yet, but can be contacted at FaceBook, through 48Days.net or by email: inghamjn@yahoo.com I can email pictures of my work. I also do portrait work from photos, I do Bible covers, panels for furniture or just about any custom work. I you have an idea, please contact me and we will work on it.
I so know where Lizzie Mae's is. Been there and spent a few $$$ a time or two. It is a nice place out there. I have done some advertising work for Lizzie Mae's for Amarillo Uptown Magazine. I am no longer there. I am working on my business full time right now.
I have seen your work and it is beautiful. When I get my business up and running I would love to stop by and visit.
Hi Jim, Sorry about the terrbily logn delay in replying! Your comments are very much appreciated. I had scratched together a couple samples of my MS Paint tinkering (scanned because the files had been deleted), but I am not in a position to send them. I have just started a new position, am living in a small apartment, and currently am accessing the internet at the local library. I'll check in from time to time - with continued long delays. By the way, did you say you work in leather? I have friends who own a small western store called Horse Lover's Haven. They might be interested in seeing some of your work!
Hi Jim - Thank you for welcoming me to the site. I look forward to the opportunities that may be presented to me within this community. I enjoyed the images of your leather work. You are very skilled and I can appreciate the time, effort and patience that you put into your work.

Jim I just had an idea for you. At the last Fantastic Friday, Chuck Bowen showed us a leather bag that he is somehow involved with. Maybe he coached the folks that make it . . . or helped with marketing or something. Anyway, the bags are like old saddle bags turned into cool briefcases and they are really taking off. Even some Hollywood stars are carrying them. Perhaps you could ask him if you could add some art to one and see if you could create an artistic designer type bag for the line. . . . it's a thought. Let me know if anything comes of this.
Welcome Jim! It's great to have you connected with Artist's Arise and I hope to encourage you in your artistic endeavors. Carving portraits in leather sounds fascinating - I can't wait to see your work.
May God bless you and your artistic endeavors this new year,
