Profile Information

How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
I first heard about Dan a few years ago when he put his local radio show on iTunes. I was instantly hooked and haven't missed an episode since. As a 48days approved Coach, I love helping people with their website, Wordpress, video and media needs.
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
Owner of 2 companies that utilize media, web, and video.
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
I enjoy helping companies use web design, video, media, and technology to improve their companies marketing, vision and financial goals. I have worked with companies both nationally and globally but also enjoy working with non-profits.

I not only help companies to create their websites but also have a site that teaches them how to make their own websites...even if they're not web savvy people.

I also like working with individuals by teaching them how to earn more money with their passions, dreams and desires.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
I am continually trying to love my wife and family more each day. Being married has been amazing and a blessing every day.
What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
My parents are both teachers....and it's rubbed off. I love teaching, helping and sharing with people how to take their passions from concept into reality.

Your website should be like a large fire, visible from a distance

Posted on November 15, 2011 at 12:30pm 3 Comments

I get a lot of questions from people asking if they should use a blog and/or social media as a part of their business.  And I give them a resounding, "YES"!!!

Your website should be like building a fire.  The bigger the fire, the more noticeable it is from afar, and the more people will come to it to get the benefits of a nice warm fire.

If you want a fire to be visible from a distance, you should throw on as much wood as possible.  But, you start small with…

Success! I just announced my website that teaches people how to create their own website with Wordpress

I've been a part of the 48days.net site since it first launched and was huge fan of Dan Miller and his materials well before that. I also had the privledge of meeting Dan and Ashely at the Coaching with Excellence seminar (I made a video promoting on that page). Needless to say, Dan and his materials have inspired me beyond belief and have given me a ton of great ideas.

Since this site launched I kept seeing people that needed a great looking website but didn't want to hire a web… Continue

I’d rather be at the bottom of a ladder I WANT to climb than half way up one I don’t

“I’d rather be at the bottom of a ladder I WANT to climb than half way up one I don’t.”

That was the quote my friend told me while interviewing for another job. He has grown frustrated with his current boss and way of working at his current company. The new company is known for selecting a few qualified people but letting them work with their strengths on their

own time.

It was his quote that got me thinking…what ladder are you on and where…

Get customers to pick something that is normally difficult or slow: watch the musical stairs video

Posted on November 5, 2009 at 8:52am 5 Comments

Have you seen that YouTube video? How many times have you heard that lately? I'm guessing most of those videos had little to no business application. But, have you seen the Youtube video from Sweden where a team decided to take on a project of motivating people to take the stairs instead of using the adjacent escalator? Think about it...using the escalator is easy, efficient and is less work. Why would someone use the stairs these days. Which is why this team decided to see what they could do… Continue

Aloha Jeff,

Thanks for the welcome.  It's great to be part of a community where I can learn and be inspired. And yes, above all, I want to build a company that is biblically based because it will be my way to be a witness for Christ.  I would love to hear your ideas about building my brand. Thank you very much and have a blessed day.  Aloha

Hey Jeff,

This is what I am looking to do and the type of person I am looking for.

I am working to start a youth coaching programs resource website.  I do have a host and a domain www.icoachyouth.com.  I don't think the webpage is active yet.  So, at the core of what I am doing is providing youth coaches from different sports with a detailed full season program that they can run to be more successful coaches.  To be successful in coaching youth you either had to be coached by a great coach or put hours upon hours of research and years of devolpment to work out the kinks and details of coaching a youth team.  What I would provide is a program from start to finish that would include: all practices, gameday play call sheets, depth chart templates, offensive and defensive playbooks, sample parent talk, and I have a wealth of other idea's related to this too.  I am not a web/tech guy.  I am very computer literate and use them daily for work and home but by no means am an expert.  I am looking for a 50/50 partner to come along side and build the website.  I will be able to collect data and content.  Also, someone that is sports oriented is important.

If you are still interested let me know and we can talk by phone.  Then maybe we could meet up at some point to discuss further.

Thanks for they reply!

Jeff,

Thanks for your kind words. Yes, my header took some time to get right, but it really makes that sliding doors theme pop, doesn't it?  It helped having a good graphics program.  I plan to update the slide backgrounds with each book. Hopefully that will keep it fresh.

I look forward to getting involved in your group. I'm sure I'll learn a lot and maybe help someone along the way.  I'm by no means an expert... luckily Wordpress is built with people like me in mind. For me it was a lot of trial and error with a bit of learning along the way... and then leaving it alone when it worked!

Thanks again, Ted
