What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
I am a youth motivational speaker. I speak to students around the country about making W.I.S.E. decisions so they can have the life they were created to live. I played drums for the band Big Daddy Weave for over 13 years, but came home to focus on my family and speaking. I am a distributor for custom drumsticks and owner of http://www.Customstix.com and blog at http://www.JeffDrummer.com
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
To have multiple streams of income that will allow me to have the freedom to invest more in the lives of those around me.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
To have multiple streams of income that will allow me to have the freedom to invest more in the lives of those around me by helping others discover their calling.
What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
I have a clear passion for helping others fulfill their dreams. I have a teacher's heart and love helping others fulfill their calling.

I just released my first book called, "Drumming Up Business to the Beat of My Own Drum" It is available at https://www.createspace.com/3478350 I am the owner of http://www.Customstix.com and I am a distributor for a company that makes custom drumsticks that can be sold at the merchandise table for bands and other musical groups. This is a unique process unlike anything that is out there. You have to see it to believe it. I also host http://www.JeffDrummer.com where I post FREE drum lessons and interviews of other musicians.

"Wow Jeff...seems brilliant. I raced BMX as a kid and ended up with over 100 trophies. Goofy plastic and metal dust catchers.  Hey, for older guys softball leagues, make it hollow at the top so can be filled with beer!"

That is definitely something to digest. Now that you mention the area where I live, there are a number of local schools that I could contact. Thank you for the tips! The consideration of people that I finding on this forum is amazing. The best part is how it comes from the Christian stance.

I'm having trouble getting students. I've posted flyers, begun passing out business cards, and I'm going to place an ad in the paper. What are the things I need to do?

P.S. Thank you for your help

Hi Jeff --

Thank you for the website info -- that was completely new information to me, so I'm very interested to check it out.

It's great to meet you. I'm very familiar with Big Daddy Weave, and some of my favorite people in the world are professional musicians, so I'm a fan already! I'm also a certified consultant for The Birkman Method, which is a personality/behavioral assessment, so share your passion for helping people see their passions and giftedness. Personally, I know what my passions are but I still struggle with figuring out how to turn them into income-generating pursuits. :)

Would you mind directing me to the shortest route to explore the Microsoft websites? I will certainly check it out; it sounds like a good option for me. Is there a fee associated with the Microsoft sites?

Thanks, and blessings on your work!

What do you all think of this new product as a potential replace for the traditional little league trophy?

Let me know below. This is a copy of the temporary web page I have set up while the main site is being built.

Have You Ever Settled For This?

Posted on July 6, 2013 at 2:30pm 0 Comments

Have you ever observed someone doing something truly great? If you’ve ever watched professional sports, then the answer is certainly yes. Think about how many little league players start the season off with a dream of one day playing in the big leagues, yet easily less than 1% of them ever make it. Why do you think this…

How to Be Rich?

Posted on February 18, 2013 at 12:06pm 2 Comments

Think of the last time you gave someone a big tip. I’m not talking about an extra $5 or $10. I’m talking about the kind of tip where the waiter or waitress stops in their tracks and begins to cry because they have a sudden realization of how that money will change their current situation.

Last Christmas, I had the…

How to Stay Married

Posted on February 14, 2013 at 8:59am 0 Comments

When I was in elementary school I had a “girlfriend” who I loooooved so much. We went on a date to a movie, with my parents of course, exchanged Christmas presents and felt like we had found “the one”. When I was in middle school I had a few girlfriends as well. We were “going together”. I went to dances and went on “parent accompanied” dates…

What Do You Want to Be When You Grow Up?

Posted on January 26, 2013 at 8:26pm 3 Comments

Are you still asking yourself that question? Well, do you know the answer? I am 39 and I think I finally figured it out. It took me long enough! What about you? Do you still long for the days as a child when you would sit and dream about becoming something great? Someone “important”? Someone who made a difference in the lives of others? The answer came to me…
