I'd be happy to work with you on your cookbook project. I currently write a food column for Examiner.com and do commercial baking as well. Drop me an e-mail and we can discuss details and pricing.
Your market research is doing half of the job - why not take it further and add a series of questions such as: "What would you like to see - have available - what would make your gardening life easier, better, more productive, etc."…"
"Sad to say, public education seems more interested in indoctrinating students rather than actually preparing them for real life. Ask a student about "global warming" and they'll tell you all you need to know about the evils of…"
I absolutely did NOT learn anything about investing in college. As a matter of fact, one of my professors used to regale us with tales of woe about his stock market LOSSES - really made me feel confident in his ability to teach me anything…"
I work in a company that is overloaded with Ph Ds. Two of them hired a person to assemble some furniture for their new offices - to the tune of $175.00 per unit, payable in cash. They found the individual through the office furniture supplier.Anyone out there who is good at putting things together and has his or her own tools should consider offering this service. There is little overhead (a few business cards to put up at Home Depot), some cold calls on furniture suppliers, perhaps a few…See More

"Hi Chris - welcome to the group.
You say that you don't feel you are a "worthy candidate" to write a book on your chosen topic. Then why not find experts in your area of interest and let them give you the guidance and wisdom you are…"
"I have to laugh - today, our HR department invited a person in to talk about making life changes. Her area of expertise was nutrition and HR's purpose was to get all of us into better physical condition so our insurance premiums won't…"
Yes, I make it a point to devote at least one hour daily during the work week and 4 hours on weekends or "vacation" days to writing or "cold calling" on potential clients via e-mail. There are days when the…"
"First and foremost, the money and benefits I'm earning at a job I really hate is better than the money I've earned at jobs I've loved. Second, I live in an area that really devalues the skill set that I have (writing and research) -…"
You say that you are a writer, but then you turn around and state that your blogs are ones that "no one sees (which is somewhat intentional)." What does the Bible say about hiding your light under a bushel???? Really - you should…"
I've been through hypnotherapy and yes, it is effective. Hypnosis is another form of coaching that cuts through the emotional barriers that keep people stuck in neutral, so to answer your question with a question, do you have the skill…"

How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
Read the book 48 Days to the Work You Love, and received an e-mail two years later - literally, out of the blue - with links to this website. I went to the site, and discovered it was exactly what I was looking for.
I would like to be able to brainstorm with others who are in the process of re-careering and build a business - and life - based on life purpose.
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
I am currently employed full-time as an accounting clerk, but earn money on the side by writing, farming and selling produce and baked goods at a local farmers market. My goal is to be able to focus my freelance efforts and build on these to create full-time income.
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
See answer above.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
Two thinges I want on a personal level are: 1) to relocate to another state in order to be closer to the rest of my family, and 2) to overcome the health challenges that came my way three years ago.
What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
My strongest skill set is in the area of communication. I have had a number of articles and stories I've written on a freelance basis published (yes, I was paid), and I have edited other people's work so their self-published books were well-received. I also have teaching ability, but have not made a lot of use of that skill. Finally, I love to grow my own food and bake.
