"Hi Jason, My deepest, heart-felt sympathies on your loss of Sebastian and your other difficulties. I completely understand the need to just leave a soul-sucking, integrity-compromising job.  I would suggest that for the time being you try to…"

"Thank you, Rob. It's nice to hear from you...and it's very good to be back. I hope you are doing well. "Life-sucking" is the perfect description of that job, and on many levels. If I had waited much longer, I might've…"

Profile Information

How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
I originally heard about Dan and 48days.com from Zig Ziglar's newsletter. I'm sure I'm like many others, who've been consciously or unconsciously hoping for exactly the kind of support this community seems to be about....a perfect blend of life and work. And for me, knowing that Dan is a godly man means so much. Add his family's involvement, that southern warmth and a community of like-minded folks and it's a match made in Heaven. God bless you Dan, family, staff and all of you.
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
I am employed in the auto glass industry
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
To gain the focus I need this year to put my God-given talents and resources to use in a way that helps my fellow man.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
To spend and savor more time with my wife and kids. To get in better shape. To become more involved with my church and community.
What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
Delivering encouragement, inspiration, humor and compassion, particularly through creative expression and use of the written word. I also have the knack for seeing more than water in rain.

Owe You, Kid!

I come here today not to entertain you

With song, dance, a laugh or two

Those things are fine, especially with some wine

But today I have something else on my mind

At times I feel weary, weighted down by this life

It can make me cranky. Ask my poor, dear…

Keep Your Eyes on the Prize

Happy 2012, my friends!

I had a full-page rant written about the meaning of “Happy New Year” and how New Year’s resolutions, though well intentioned, are poor substitutes for setting real goals and putting a plan into action. I pulled the plug on that piece because I’ realized that it would be much more…

This is a bee-autiful example of freeing up others to live out their full potential. It was originally posted by Dan Couglin of the Coughlin Company. I’ve got nothing to add except tumultuous applause. (They really like that part).

Bee Thankful!

A Happy Thanksgiving Day to you all in the U.S.! Of course, being thankful is a universal idea.

As usual, I'll be crashing several large gatherings today as a ruse to loadup on holiday goodies. O'course there's not a whole lotta storage space in my spandex drawers. And I gotta to be careful not to weigh myself down too much or I'm liable to hit a rain gutter (or worse) on take-off. So, I'm limiting myself to just one slice of pie...one slice of pumpkin, one slice of pecan, one slice…

Jason,

Thanks for the suggestion on my group. I didn't mean to name it after me (oops!). I think I've got it right. Let me know if I need to do anything else (please). Thanks!

Mine is not just about social media, its more about internet marketing. Its about how to get traffic to your site via SEO, as well as social media. It's to help people understand keyword research, back linking and other very important peaces to driving traffic to your website. EasyTech is also a place for training on multiple levels to help people achieve success.

Don't worry about it.  I'm willing to do a blog or forum post to get the conversation going.  That would also be a great way for me to increase my level of participation.  We can always start the group later.
