Good deed for the day

The other day I helped a friend of mine help a friend of his. As we were carrying in the elderly neighbor’s new hot water heater, my friend said “You have done your good deed for the day.”What is a good deed? His implication; it was good because I didn’t receive anything in return for it. I wasn’t paid. I spent my gas, time, and energy without any tangible benefit to me.I had spent all day, cleaning and showing a house to potential tenants. It is a really nice home extremely close to the…See More

Have a fire plan (Daddy’s love)

I wrote this post a couple weeks ago, and feel it is one of the most important I have ever written.  It reminded me to install a new smoke detector, have a fire drill, and update our fire plan. Hope it inspires some of you to action on this important but not urgent activity. This article will be different. It is born of an emotional story of a father who died trying to rescue his 3 year old and 18 month old daughters.  At the time of writing this article, the ages of my first 2 daughters is very…See More

I want you to picture a football or soccer field.  Picture yourself as one of the 22 players dressed in their team uniforms.  The stands are filled with SCREAMING, face-painted fanatics.  The game is about ready to begin. You have butterflies in your stomach, and are looking for a place to throw-up.  The energy is palpable!!! …

How big is the Mortgage interest deduction?

Welcome J.B.!

I try to take time each week to welcome new members to 48Days.Net. So, let me say "welcome" to you! I know you will find this to be a great site filled with people who are experiencing true success in both life and work.

One thing I noticed on your profile is you are a fan of Dan Miller's and Dave Ramsey's podcast. Me too. They give great advice that has helped many people succeed in life and work.

Also, I'd like to point out that one of the best places to connect with other liked-minded people here is in the GROUPS section. There are groups for just about every interest you can think of, and if you can't find a group that interests you, you can start one. Groups are my favorite part of 48Days.Net!

Finally, if you happen to be a speaker or author (or want to become either), check out these two groups. They are two of the most popular groups on the site because of all the great conversation taking place:

* Speak It Forward -- REAL Success and Profit for Speakers!
* Write It Forward -- REAL Success and Profit for Writers!

Again, enjoy 48Days.Net. It's a great place to be!

Live it forward,
Kent Julian
