Why Premium?

Hi All,I've been a lurker at 48days for a few months now.  I've been blogging with Wordpress for almost a year using a non-premium theme, but I am starting another blog.  I am considering buying a Premium theme that I could use on all my sites.  I've seen these recommended on this forum: Studiopress, Thesis, iThemes, Press75, and Woothemes. Why should I go premium, though? Also, does nyone have experience with Standard Theme (…See More

Profile Information

How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
Dan's podcasts & newsletters
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
I am now in my 25th year of Information Technology. Hard to believe that IT was actually my major in college, and I am still in it.. I am currently the manager of a small IT department at a manufacturing facility in South Carolina
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
I have been aware of Dan's teaching for many years. I think I have an early edition of 48 Days, and, of course, No More Mondays. My goal is to wake up and do the work I want to do each day.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
I took up running a few years ago to combat stress. It turned into an obsession,I guess. I have run a couple of marathons, and I eventually want to qualify for the Boston Marathon.
What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
I guess this is my stumbling block. Once upon a time, I was voted Best All Around in high school. At the time, I thought that was pretty cool, but able to be decent at most activities turns out to mean I'm not GREAT at any one thing or I can't focus long enough before being distracted by something new.

If you have a product or service to promote (now or in the near future) this is your shot to state it! Say all you'd like:
Last winter I decided to give a shot at making leather handbags. One thing led to another, and I now have an Etsy shop, where I sell my finished goods. Not sure if this is a long lasting pursuit or not. Guess I'm Poking the Box, as Seth Godin would say.

Hi Greg,

I try to take time each week to welcome new members to 48Days.Net. So, let me say "welcome" to you! I know you will find this to be a great site filled with people who are experiencing true success in both life and work.

Also, I'd like to point out that one of the best places to connect with other liked-minded people here is in the GROUPS section. There are groups for just about every interest you can think of, and if you can't find a group that interests you, you can start one. Groups are my favorite part of 48Days.Net!

Finally, if you happen to be a speaker or author (or want to become either), check out these two groups. They are two of the most popular groups on the site because of all the great conversation taking place:

* Speak It Forward -- REAL Success and Profit for Speakers!
* Write It Forward -- REAL Success and Profit for Writers!

Again, enjoy 48Days.Net. It's a great place to be!

Live it forward,
Kent Julian
