Need 2 speak 2 Calif Contractor's bookkeeper about CA Sales Tax. Contract billing, what's taxable. Talk to my client. He doesn't believe me.Dec. 17, 2009
Gina, is there a specific business or target market that you can focus your efforts on being an expert? For example, maybe you've done a lot of work for restaurant owners (just using this as an example - I'm not sure who your clients have been). If…
John,
That is very interesting and worth thinking about and considering. But what if a $1000/month client refers a $200/month client? it would take over 5 months to recoop.

He needs onsite office/bookkeeper-Seaside, OR-automotive field. DM if you know anyone. Ideally they will have clients in Seaside. Ltd hrs.
I find my hurdle within my current business. I'm working on new package plans rather than selling my time. I'm working on how to bring in new business, how to market to outside areas, revamping my website. Many things are moving along at a good pace…
Hi Jay & Sue. Must be a new group with only two members. LOL. I hope you don't mind having a bookkeeper come to visit. Not a whole lot I can share about taxes but I'm sure there is plenty to learn.
Jonathan, great idea. I'm going to talk to a writer friend of mine about converting my thoughts to paper. She could ask me questions and I could share stuff with her.
How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
Web search. Facebook. Dave Ramsey. Jon Gordon.
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
Self-employed owner of a bookkeeping company.
And then...what is the goal/dream you are striving for regarding your work life?
My goal/dream is to have a business with enough clients & employees to exist without me.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
I have a goal to become debt free, creating wealth, and able to give whatever I want.
What would you say are your core competencies? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
I tend to be an "early adopter" of new technology. I would like to be able to help small business owners with their bookkeeping from anywhere in the nation via the Internet.
Thanks Derek. I am currently working with a Dave Ramsey Certified Coach. I will look over your website to see if you have anything else I might be interested in. I have one more week in FPU. Our instructor is going for Dave Ramsey Certified Coach training next month.
I actually specialize in helping folks take care of any lingering money matters so they can pursue their passions. If I can help in any way, please let me know.
You might like the group Clearing the Hurdle. I started it for folks who are determined to find the career or build the business of their dreams, but have to get over some personal financial hurdles first. You’ll probably enjoy the conversations we have going on there.
Nice to meet you, thanks for the message. The Blue Jeans VA - it took a long time to jump over to this name. I was looking for something more casual and reflected my desire to stop wearing "corporate" dress and be comfy. That was the main part of the thought process at least.
I have been working on what clients I like to work with and what types of work I am enjoying and what I dread when I open up my email inbox. It has been enlightening actually and has started to help me with clarity and direction.
I'm starting to work with a new biz coach, a suggestion from Dan actually, and excited to see how it goes and the possibilities. It is going to be fun!

Hi Gina,
Thanks for getting back with me.
That's definitely one way to go about it. What are 5-10 possible opportunities that are there?

Hi Gina,
Good to hear from you. Let me know how I can help. Part of what I do is help entrepreneurs plan and grow their businesses around their strengths.
Unfortunately, that's where many business owners miss the boat. They try to grow and develop around a cookie cutter plan.
