How do i find the right contact person in a company?
I am passionate about fixing desktops and laptops. I am having a hard time finding out who the IT manager is for companies while browsing the web. Dan mentions in 48 days to speak to a receptionist. He doesn't elaborate on what you should say. I feel like if I try to call a receptionist to find out who the IT director is I will come off sounding like a sales person or if I tell her why I want to know she will just push me to their web site to apply there. I love acting. Right now I am doing help desk for a corporation that is sucking the life out of me. I wanted to audition for a local community theater production of 12 angry men but my current work schedule would not permit. I try to take time each week to welcome new members to 48Days.Net. So, let me say "welcome" to you! I know you will find this to be a great site filled with people who are experiencing true success in both life and work.
I'd like to point out that one of the best places to connect with other liked-minded people here is in the GROUPS section. There are groups for just about every interest you can think of, and if you can't find a group that interests you, you can start one. Groups are my favorite part of 48Days.Net!
Finally, it sounds like you are interested in writing. If so, consider joining the Write It Forward. There are some great discussions going on that will likely be very profitable for you.
Plus, you might want to check out Speak It Forward as well. It's another group I'm involved with that has a lot of activity taking place.
