Profile Information

How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?: I learned about this site through Dan's podcast. I hope to get feedback about developing a "No More Mondays" lifestyle for myself. I hope that I can also contribute to encouraging other members in their pursuits.

What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?: I am a 911 Call Receiver and am attempting to develop alternative streams of income on the side.

And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?: By the end of this year I intend to have laid the ground work for starting a small scale, part time farm on 35 acres I own. Depending on negotiations with my current renter, operations will begin as early as 2011-12. I anticipate that this farm will be a hobby that will net me about $2,000 per year and am planning to develop niche markets that will allow me to cut back my day job to 1/2 time within the next 5 years.

How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?: In all of my pursuits, I strive to have integrity, be reliable, maintain a positive attitude, and develop and apply wisdom while being a gentle, loving, sincere, and helpful man of faith.

What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?: I am high S and C on the DISC profile. That said, I can force myself to be outgoing and enjoy getting to know lots of people. I am particularly strong at collaborative problem-solving and developing concrete measures for abstract concepts.
