Give Up My SBI Site?

Hi Everyone,Happy Sunday! I have an SBI site and I want to spruce it up and make it more polished and easier for visitors to navigate.  Plus, I would like to add more pictures for visitors and enhance their experience.I have been messing around with SBIs templates this weekend and, to be honest, I am not a fan of the templates. I have been chatting with people on the SBI forum and it sounds like I have to create a wordpress blog and import it, which would mean giving up my website name. I have…See More

Profile Information

How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
I am here to interact and learn with others who are starting online businesses and to share my track record of living a successful and happy life. Basically, how I utilize who I am to acheive my dreams.
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
I work for a Fortune 500 company and I am looking to become self-employed.
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
What I am focusing on now is building a business that is focused on the "space" that comes before your thoughts get articulated. There is a way of actively listening to yourself and really knowing who you are and once you learn those listening and knowing skills, you realize that you CAN achieve your dreams. That feeling of awe, excitement, and quiet acceptance leaves no room for suffering. I believe there is a business as well as deeply rewarding personal opportunity in sharing my thoughts and the techniques that work for me.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
I have a law degree and passed the bar, I have an MBA and I am a certified accountant. On a professional level, my goal is to become self employed, and on a personal level, my goal is to move back to my hometown and help to support my parents in their retirement.
What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
I have work experience with Fortune 500 companies, especially in Finance, Marketing Finance and Accounting. I have taken several tax law classes that I truly enjoyed and I love, love, love coaching, writing and speaking. Also, I make a great chocolate cake.

Building Self Confidence

Building Self Confidence

Two obstacles that I have faced throughout my life are fear of failure and the lack of self-confidence to face up to my fear. For most of my life, when fear would bubble up in my chest, I would say to myself, "Don't be afraid. You have nothing to fear. You will get through this."

Those words helped a little bit, but they were not a good long term solution because every time the fear of failure arose, I would have to silently chant those words over… Continue

How To Make Physical Fitness a Habit

Posted on October 21, 2009 at 7:51pm 0 Comments

Are people who have high physical fitness and workout naturally inclined to do so, or is it a habit that can be learned? For me, it was 100% learned. As a teenager, I rarely exercised, and I relied on skipping meals to balance out my pizza and hamburger indulgences.

In college, I began to see the connection between physical fitness and feeling good. On the rare occasions when I did "hit the gym", I noticed that I felt happier, more confident, and more fit, not just while I was… Continue

Here is a thought provoking blog post that I wrote after a heart-to-heart with one of my friends. I hope it helps some of you, too!

Hi Everyone,

Here is something I wrote yesterday and I hope it helps some of you!

Have Courage, Even If It's Scary

"I don't know how to do it, therefore, I can't do it." This is a favorite thing for me to say to myself. I still talk to myself this way every time I want to expand my life into new arenas. For example, I was eating lunch with a friend and I told her how I have been spending a lot of time reading and writing on a particular subject and how it… Continue

Dieting By Personality

Hi Everyone!

As my brother's wedding approaches, I am dieting and exercising! I wrote this blog post in order to pass on a shift in my thinking that has helped me "stay the course". I hope you find it helpful, too

Dieting is a major focus in my life right now as the summer wedding season approaches. For the last several weeks, I have been struggling with sticking to a diet. I would be good for a while, and then I would go off of it. I decided to start tracking what I was… Continue
