"Jim, this post is from back in Oct 2009 originally. JewelBeat came out some time after.
I personally love JewelBeat.com. It takes a long time of browsing to find a few good songs here and there. However, for 99cents, you can't…"
"Here's a place that I use regularly: http://incompetech.com/m/c/royalty-free/
Don't let the bare bones look of the site fool you. Kevin MacLeod does some outstanding work -- and it's all at a very low cost and there are few strings…"
"Thanks Matthew, I was having all kinds of trouble finding any good free music. I found some good intro/exit music at the musicalley.com, edited my existing episodes, and now my podcast is 100% legal. Thanks."
"What about services like http://www.musicalley.com where you can find free podsafe music. Artists like myself upload music to be used for free. We love it because of the exposure. I have had several podcasts play my music. …"
"I don't want to tell you what you "should do" but if you were to ask me what I would do, if I only had five episodes, I'd go and strip out the licensed music. But that's just me personally.
"After I heard how Dan handled the fade-in/fade-out music, I wasn't concerned about using less than 15 seconds of a song's beginning and end. I haven't used the same song more than once because I haven't found one that really…"
"I subscribed to Mike Stewart's (the Internet Audio Guy) Two Buck Themes. Each month he sends you five music clips (30-60 seconds typically). As you get 5 for $10 its two bucks a piece. Most of my podcasts have segments and I use this music so…"
"Brian, I am sorry to do this. But the easiest answer I can give you is "IT'S COMPLICATED."
I've been podcasting and consulting for five years now and seriously, those two words would completely sum up what I wish I had time to…"
I listen to a lot of the same shows. I've actually compiled a list of links to the podcasts I listen to at http://onmyipod.info/podcast-list/
I need to update it to move the shows that are not currently producing episodes to a new…"
How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
I heard about 48days.net from the podcast. The podcast in looking up Dan Miller. Dan Miller from the Dave Ramsey Show. Dave Ramsey show was a random search in iTunes.
I'm hoping to gain experience coaching and helping other people and ideas on how to monitize my websites.
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
Employee. I've generated about $7 over the last 4 months from my blog and other websites.
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
I'd love to work from home as a blogger/freelance programmer and possibly travel as a coach for Software Developers.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
More time with my family.
What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
Programming, blogging, internet marketing. I understand the technical aspects of these things much better than my marketing couterparts. I feel that I can add a good mix with my ability to communicate with business owners as well as technical experts.
