Hey Cliff- I listen to a lot of the same shows. I've actually compiled a list of links to the podcasts I listen to at http://onmyipod.info/podcast-list/ I need to update it to move the shows that are not currently producing episodes to a new list.…

Both WAV and AIFF are good choices if you don't want to reduce the quality when exporting.

Export as an uncompressed .wav file. You will not lose ANY quality at all this way. Then, as you mentioned, use iTunes to convert that to .mp3 Enjoy! Cliff -- http://PodcastAnswerMan.com

I'm wondering the best format is to export my podcast from audacity. I'll very likely use iTunes to do the actual MP3 encoding, but I don't want to lose a ton of quality by exporting the podcast into a format that won't work well. Thanks, Chuck

Yeah, I'm already looking at my morning and trying to figure out whether to do the podcast before or after going to the gym. I'm leaning toward after because I usually feel way better after. I'm also looking at some other interests for possible po…

That is a perfect way to do it. Live is great when you have an audience. However, it's best to get into a good routine for your show before going live with it. I did an episode of Podcast Answer Man called "The Pitfalls of The Live Show Format" to…

Thanks for the support. I really do appreciate it. I caught the tail end of Social Media Serenity (and then subscribed on iTunes). I'm consuming PodcastAnswerMan at double speed--only because my ipod won't play them faster. I've probably listened t…

Charles, Two things... First up... Yep, I have 23 podcasts in iTunes with over 1,800 episodes. All of them are formatting with this enclosure plugin... However, to be honest with you, Feedburner overrides those enclosures and makes it's own. That…

I really wish I could, but things are really tight right now. I'm listening to your podcast right now and looking at what you recommend. I'll probably also be tuning in live tomorrow. Your Business Technology and Podcasting podcasts are terrific. I…

PLEASE DO NOT USE A PODCASTING PLUGIN! You'll only end up having to hire me down the road, when WordPress is updated and it breaks two or things in that plugin. The problem with these things is that they throw the everything INCLUDING the kitchen…

I'm afraid that I'd have to agree. Reaching your target market is critical. If those decision makers are not the type of people who would be listening to podcasts, it makes it difficult to see podcasting as a marketing platform. I love podcasting,…

The only thing I would use for iTunes subscription is Feedburner. The reasons are many, but it's a service by Google and you can take that feed anywhere. If you stop using powerpress you have to change the feed in iTunes - not easily done at all.

Check out Powerpress Plugin for Wordpress. Pod Press is no longer developed or supported but the podcasting podcasts I listen to suggest Powerpress by Blubrry. I will be trying it myself soon .http://www.blubrry.com/powerpress/ Let me know how it g…

Are you just wanting to have a player on the page Charles? I'm using blogger right now but don't have a play button. I don't send people to that page to listen however. There are a lot of plugins out there and Cliff or Andy can advise on the best.…

That's a conundrum Charles. If your target audience isn't going to listen to a podcast it may not be the best medium for you to engage in. Even if it fits your personality, unless you can monetize it another way, it's really up to the people who wil…

I am and have been a HUGE fan of wordpress for a while now. Does anyone have any recommendations for a plugin I can use for my podcast? I've looked at podpress and podcasting as possibilities, but I don't see what the major differences are.

Profile Information

How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
I heard about 48days.net from the podcast. The podcast in looking up Dan Miller. Dan Miller from the Dave Ramsey Show. Dave Ramsey show was a random search in iTunes.

I'm hoping to gain experience coaching and helping other people and ideas on how to monitize my websites.
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
Employee. I've generated about $7 over the last 4 months from my blog and other websites.
And then...what is the goal/dream you are striving for regarding your work life?
I'd love to work from home as a blogger/freelance programmer and possibly travel as a coach for Software Developers.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
More time with my family.
What would you say are your core competencies? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
Programming, blogging, internet marketing. I understand the technical aspects of these things much better than my marketing couterparts. I feel that I can add a good mix with my ability to communicate with business owners as well as technical experts.
