Archie, I think that's a great idea. What did you have in mind and where? I would be willing to help plan the event. Perhaps Debbie Forte has some thoughts on this.

Thanks Kathleen and West. Unfortunately, I have already popped the seal on the Airborne. But, I will pick up some extra D. I agree with the hand sanitizer. I keep a .5 oz size in my purse at all times.

West, I'm heading West in a few days (no pun intended...well, maybe). Since I will be in close quarters for hours on a plane, in very hot weather, then cold weather in higher elevation, then back to hot again and then another long plane ride, what d…

How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
I heard about it Monday night @ Career Transition Group when Dan Miller spoke to the group. I hope to get every tool necessary to enable me to become a successful entrepreneur.
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
Down-sized from Dixie Plywood in December - currently unemployeed.
And then...what is the goal/dream you are striving for regarding your work life?
I may possibly want to go into business for myself.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
My two girls are grown and are both a part of good Christian homes (first goal in life); My five grandchildren's names are Cody, Carley, Calli, Cara, and Cate...pretty confusing when we are all tgether!! I am active in my church; enjoy getting together with friends for dinner, theater, or travel; visit my sister & family 3-4 times/year in Phoenix, AZ.
What would you say are your core competencies? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
I enjoy talking with people~~I thoroughly enjoyed my sales position in the building materials industry and taking care of my customers in the territory I serviced. It gives me satisfaction when they are satisfied and happy with my service and products.
If you have a product or service to promote (now or in the near future) this is your shot to state it! Say all you'd like:
My goal is to develop and market a product that will improve sleep comfort

Brenda, I have two women friends who would like to know more about your pillow. Please send them information at Rosegauss@comcast.net and sgil6@swbell.net. These addresses are for Rose Gauss, who illustrated my children's book and Sandy Gilbert who I met at our Writers conference this weekend. She lives in Arkansas and Rose lives in PA. I was telling them about your pillow and they both want to know more. ! Hope you are doing well................Blessings, Joanne

Brenda,

I found my podcast that we were talking about last night. If you go to my web site MedicineCoach.com and click "podcast" on the toolbar, go down to Podcast #4, that's the one I couldn't remember last night at the seminar

Brenda,
The eCourse is a course in a different approach to planning a business. Most planning tries to reduce risk of failure by structuring as much as possible. Agile was developed for dealing with situations where change is the norm and to remove that change would actually result in greater risk. For example if you have a great business idea plan it all out, do lots of market research and invest a lot of money developing it and then launch with great expectations and the market rejects your product. In this case your risk was actually increased by trying to plan it all out and launch in one fell swoop. Agile uses short development cycles and multiple little releases to ensure success.

whew. that was long winded. but I am really passionate that this approach is critical and important to startups. you can read a few articles I wrote about it at Startup Nation as well as checking out the information on my website too.

Peace

I want to extend an invitation to you to join the group I am the host for a group called "Making A DREAM" where we are discussing our dreams and what we are doing to make them happen!

Since you are interested in starting a business, I invite you to challenge yourself with a FREE 7 day eCourse on my website. I offer this free because I want to introduce people to a different way of planning a business, the Agile way.

Peace
