Profile Information

How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
I heard about the network through 48days.com newsletter. I'm not sure what I hope to gain, but just putting out in the world what I want and my goals is a valuable exercise. I felt compelled to join because Dan Miller's newsletter really speaks to me in a very authentic way.
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
Self-employed, just starting out life coaching. Have provided 9 great one-on-one sample sessions in the past 2 weeks. Also, created and gave a workshop called "Getting Unstuck" last month to 21 people and will repeat in March. So far, all of this has been done at no charge for a volunteer-run nonprofit networking organization called ProMatch (a chapter of Experience Unlimited).
And then...what is the goal/dream you are striving for regarding your work life?
I would love to do Executive Coaching and consulting in Silicon Valley high tech companies about how to create a corporate coaching culture, along the lines of the book Idiot's Guide to Coaching for Excellence. After I finish my MBA this summer, I would like to begin the process of becoming a certified life coach (I completed training at CTI in Marin, CA), continue to create and offer motivational workshops and speaking engagements and charge for most of my time.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
I plan to finish my MBA at SF State University this coming summer with the completion of my thesis on organizational change. I'd like to sell my current home and buy a new one. I'd also like to get remarried.
What would you say are your core competencies? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
I am growing into being a great life coach. I believe that I have natural ability and great intuition that allows me to help people shift perspectives and move toward their goals. I am also a very good teacher/facilitator and am becoming a better public speaker with each opportunity.
Do you have a website presence anywhere?

Since you have a business, I invite you to learn a different way of planning with a FREE 7 day eCourse on my website, on Agile Business planning. I offer this free because I want to introduce people to a different way of planning a business, the Agile way.

Peace

Amy,

I wish you TONS of success! You seem so passionate about it. That's awesome.

As an FYI, one of the most powerful things about 48Days.NET is the many Groups. You can hit the ‘Groups’ tab above and search for anything you are interested in. I happen to lead a couple of groups here for folks interested in writing or speaking. Not sure if you have interest in those areas, but if so, I’d be honored to offer what I can and include you in our discussions. In fact, I'd love to have you jump into the discussion. The more voices, the more we all learn.

Here are the links to these two groups:
* Speak It Forward -- REAL Success and Profit for Speakers!
* Write It Forward -- REAL Success and Profit for Writers!

Wishing you REAL Success...

Hey Amy,

Just noticed you joined 48Days.net -- WELCOME! So glad you became a member. And as an FYI, I've been in the "coaching" business for several years. I'm excited for you. It's a very rewarding line of work. I also checked out your website...very nice.

One other thing. Sounds like you are a communicator and interested in motivational seminars. If so, consider joining the Speak It Forward group (link below). There are some great discussions going on that will likely be very profitable for you.
