For years I have put "get some of my writing published" on my New Year's resolutions and each year I let life interfere. This year I was determined to wade through all the intricacies of self-publishing and get it done. And I did it! It really was a lot of work but I got quite an education and certainly the next time will not be nearly so intimidating.

I Wanna Be ME is the first in a series of children's books for ages 2-6 yrs. However, it will appeal to adults and all ages in between simply for its message of embracing who you are and how trying to be something different is not a good feeling at any age.

The line, "But don't make me dress up and look sweet and frilly. To you I look great but to me I feel silly" is an example of how we as parents can sometimes project our own desires on a child who has the need to act or dress in a fashion that is not the expected norm.
