Greetings and a Happy mid-January to all,
If you’re new to the 48Days.net community – welcome. This is an amazing group of people who are not content with
mediocrity in their work – or anywhere in their lives. You’ll find the members here share their resources and expertise willingly and also share your excitement when you succeed.
We are seeing an explosion of books being published, speakers being booked, coaches filling their schedules, artists finding new ways to market their work, musicians leveraging their talent and creative businesses from podcasting to dry cleaning pickup to muscle car restoration being launched successfully.
I’m thrilled as I see more people who are finding their true calling and applying that in work that is meaningful, purposeful – and profitable. If you’re still in that process, be encouraged; you can do what many others here have done.
You may have noticed we’ve opened up the Chat feature on 48Days.net. If you look right down in the bottom right hand corner you’ll see how many other members are online. You can chat in the open group or send a message to any member who is online.
Ashley just reminded me our next Write to the Bank live event here at the Sanctuary is coming up March 8-9th. This is our most popular and least expensive live event. We cap it at 48 participants and always have a waiting list for future events. Don’t miss securing your seat for this fun event. Check the link for photo shots to see lots of your friends who have attended.
Each week we feature some of our favorite forum discussions, blogs, groups and members in the Notes on the front page. Please note that those who are featured and highlighted are always selected from those who have a clear picture, are active here in this community and are adding valuable content in some way. No magic or inside track – those are the things we look for.
This week we're highlighting:
Featured Discussion – Robert Longley posted a thoughtful discussion for When the music stops. He commented about people who find success early on but then have difficulty transitioning to the next season of their lives. We see this in musicians, authors, actors and actresses, artists, comedians and others. How do we help people who are stuck in “what could have been?” Add you comments and insights to the discussion.
Featured Blog – the events of life have a way of revealing to us our calling to serve in incredible ways. As you move forward your story continues to evolve, and prior to approaching each level you begin to experience the tug that there is more. In Abundant Life Through Natural Health: Rochelle Delain shares her story of trials, and triumph, and how once again she is feeling that tug to do something even greater.
Featured Group – Rob Orr continues to give leadership and vision to the My Website Workshop group. Rob says – “This group is specifically geared to be a resource for those who own, manage and/or want to get started with their own website. Whether it's a blog, an e-commerce store, a company site, or some sort of hybrid you will find help here.” Sounds like that should include pretty much all of us. Jump in for some helpful advice.
Featured Member – Seth Vore from Portland, OR is our featured member this week. Being from Portland is a significant part of Seth’s story, as he is launching a new business called Portland Boat Tours where he’ll be giving tours of Portland from the vantage point of the Williamette River. But here’s the cool part – Seth used KickStarter in an attempt to raise $5000 to fund his new business. People donating are not “partners” or “investors” but simply people who like his idea and want to see him succeed (I donated $100 early in his campaign). He now has 71 backers who have pledged $6300 – more than he asked for. Just another creative example of how 48Days.net members are bringing their dreams to life – congratulations, Seth!
Welcome new 48Days Advisor and Blog Moderator - Ann Musico Ann is very active in the community here - others noticed and recommended her to our Advisory Team.
