I just wanted to give a quick thanks to Dan. The encouraging words he gave when answering a question of mine on his podcast last January were just what I needed.

After beginning a blog in August 2012, I was about to quit at the beginning of the new year. Month after month of two hundred unique visitors that were probably mostly my family and friends, I felt like I had no traction and was just wasting my time.

The 30+ unique visitors I got the day his podcast with my question aired, was a lot more than I ever had before.  More importantly his encouraging words gave me something I needed, hope. That hope translated to action on my part.

When I told my wife, my goal was 10,000 unique visitors per month in a year to my blog, she said don't set yourself up for disappointment. Well, I have not made that yet, but with over 8,000 in June and almost as much in July, I have no doubt next Spring I will break the 10,000 mark.

More importantly than this arbitrary number, are the skills I have learned along the way. I didn't know anything about the web a year ago, today, I feel if I needed too, I could become a web designer with 3 months of independent study. I also think I have learned a thing or two about writing (including copy writing and SEO) and can't wait to see where those skills are in a year.

My plans to relaunch my website (www.jimanderson.net) at www.yourgardensanctuary.com with a new design and a new focus on helping people themselves create the peaceful outdoor retreat are on track.

I have to give Dan a big thanks for that. I have a confidence in the future that I owe at least a good part to him.

Thanks again Dan,

Your grateful friend,

Jim Anderson

Totally agree with everyone's takes.  I unfortunately came in with too much material for my book and now I know what to do with it!

Thanks, Kent!

Investing in the Write It Forward event was one of the BEST personal growth investments I made this year. This morning I created my marketing plan for the month as I thought about every thing Kent and Andy taught; and I contacted an event planner and got booked to speak this Friday.  :) I also met some of the most amazing and inspiring people ever!!!
