Pretty cool, Aaron.  If I hadn't picked it up the first go-around, I'd certainly grab it this time.  I'll be sure to tweet it out.  Hope you break the top 100.

Congrats on make #1 in both the Holidays & Festivals category and the Christmas category.  And with no promotion--that's awesome!

Way to go, Aaron. That is so awesome. This is evidence for all of us that we have to have a plan and some persistence. I love hearing success stories, and this group has its share.

Hi everyone,

Some of you know I wrote a children's book (The Sneezing Christmas Tree) this past Christmas and published it to the Kindle store. I enrolled the book in the KDP Select program, which allows you to give your book away for free on 5 days out of every 90 day period.

I ran a free promotion for my book back in February and did a little bit to promote it as free. I had several hundred downloads in the span of 3 days.

The other day I decided to make the book free again, so I set the free days as Wednesday through Today. But I have done ZERO to promote...not even a tweet :)

I just logged into the Kindle reporting system and saw it's been downloaded nearly 1300 times in the past couple of days. I'm currently at #159 on the list of free books on Amazon. It would be fun to break the top #100, for which Amazon maintains a listing on their website.

So if you haven't picked up my book and would like a free copy, you can get it at Amazon here:

I know it's not exactly the time of year for a Christmas book, but I figure I had the "free" days to use for the Kindle edition, so I might as well use them. Besides, I happen to think the book's message about the love of Jesus and the purpose of our lives is relevant year-round :)

I'm planning to redo the print edition of the book for this Christmas and run another free promotion at the start of December.

Thanks. Have a great day and weekend!

Wow!  Great conversation.  Dan, I would love an autographed book as well.  I've met Jared and his wife, they're awesome.

As far as the rest of this conversation, I actually love a church with no walls.  Sometimes I go to church, sometimes I watch online but sometimes I go to a park and read a book on faith and I seem to "hear" more when I do that.

I think you're right, Steve! I've got a lot of loose notes that the voice in my head tells me should be written down, but I think I'm having commitment issues.:)

Listen up, people. This has been great. This is a group of writers. There has been a lot of good stuff traded here this morning. There has got to be a book in here somewhere.

Any takers?

I'm not an author. Not yet, anyway. My job is to influence and inspire others. Anyone willing to write about this?

It could change the world.

Dan, Erin, & Kent... I’m totally with you guys regarding Brendon. He is one of my many favorites because he’s the real deal, he’s passionate, he has a servant's heart, plus he is an extravagant giver. He does an excellent job! He has learned vast amounts from all the successful people he has studied and interviewed and his packaging of that information can greatly accelerate our success. I will start his High Performance Academy this month and then expect to do his Experts Academy next year.

Dan---I look forward to reading your new book and to seeing you at BootCamp! Having completed a 10 year prodigal journey of my own I can relate. God brought me through it, cleaned me up then sent me to the streets of Atlanta to work among those who are homeless or in drug–infested areas and crack houses or in jails and prisons, who are still on their prodigal journeys. He has used my prodigal journey in mighty ways. Wouldn't trade it for the world. So, I have lots of friends whose bodies are filled with tattoos!

Steve--- here is a passage that talks of how God goes after the one to bring him back Ezekiel 34:11, 12, 16. Something else the Lord showed me in working with many prodigals and being a former prodigal is that not only does He not waste anything we go through, but also that He is often using our prodigal experiences to equip us for our destinies. Keep believing the Word and trusting God.

Luke 1:37 “Nothing is impossible with God.”

Thank you to all of you. You have no idea how discouraged I've been the last few weeks - thinking of going "prodigal" myself! Ironically, just like Diane said - I was let down by my church in my time of need. I literally had to beg people to pray for me. Thankfully, the anointing of God's love on the hearts of people in this group reminds me that Jesus is the only hope there is, and that no matter what happens, He is there to pick up the pieces and to bring us home again.

Steve: I prayed for your son too. I know you and your son feel the love of God pouring all over you today.

Rick, Diane and Shelly: Awesome testimonies on redemptive power of God's love.

Dan: I definitely want to read your new book!

Dan, as you know, I love the story of your family and Jared. What's more, I love Jared! As I like to say, he reminds me of several guys who were in one of my youth groups. Authentic, passion, intense, and once they got focused...wow!

One other reason I love Jared...he designed the first Live It Forward website and was the first one-on-one coach I ever hired. He's part of the DNA of the Live It Forward success story :)

I'd like to "Amen" what Rick said. He's lived it, so clearly he's the credible source. But that's exactly what sets my tattooed hero (whose name is Joby) apart from the sympathetic by-standers -- the stamina and the courage to stand firm and be honest, but love openly while doing so. I've seen it in action, and it works. And often, that's what these prodigal sons are looking for -- someone who can be strong when they're not able to.
