No worries. If you can't do it this time, you'll know for the next.

For me personally (and this is just me), I want to be seen as the authority, expert, and star in my niche. Being on top of the Amazon list gives me the sway I'm looking for. 80% if books are purchased on Amazon.

Thank you, Joel.  I'm not sure how much leverage I have with adjusting the price.  I have a publisher who doesn't always have the same vision as I do, but its worth a shot to ask.  I appreciate the advice.

Hi Cheri,

Once again congratulations!! Here's an idea for you to get quick sales and make sure you make it to the Amazon top 100 or top 10. Lower you eBook price to 99 cents and market the fire out of it.

Here's my reasoning, 99 cents is an impulse purchase. Like buying an app. It's a no-brainer. As the price increases, the mental chess match begins. 

I don't know your situation so this advice may not apply to you personally, but if your goal is to be seen as the expert in your niche, this is one strategy to do it.

Hey everybody.  I have started a new book project!  It is called, "Food Fight - Mastering Your Relationship to Food", and it deals with what I believe to be a little publicized epidemic in our nation, food addiction. Friends: I will be embarking on a major project in the next few days - I am writing a book on Food Addiction, based on my struggles. The working title is "Food Fight". This will be my first major writing project, but it will come from the heart. I have dealt with this eating disorder for over 20 years, but now, I believe I can offer testimony and hope to those with a similar addiction.

Unlike other systemic addictions, like drugs, alcohol or gambling, the food addict cannot simply quit cold turkey, at least not for the long term. The behavior must be modified, moreover, the heart must be transformed.

I will be starting a campaign to fund this project (known as micro-patronage) in the next few days. I ask that you prayerfully consider supporting me, even in a small way. I will send out another posting when I have finalized the campaign (look for it on www.rockethub.com).
