That's definitely a huge and wonderful milestone, Cam, and I have no doubt you'll do a great job and it will become easier and easier as you go forward.

Well this is the big weekend for my sermon. For those of you who are in the Speak it Forward Group and who have been following my discussions there, this talk I will be doing 'noteless'.

 

My past sermons have left me feeling like I am depending too much on my notes and the speakers I admire always appear to be speaking without notes. So with support from Kent and a bunch of Speak It Forward supporters, this weekend will be a huge milestone in my speaking journey.

 

I'm a little nervous about how it will go, but the things I always place in the front of my mind are:

1. I'm more concerned with what I say than my audience is. (An audience is always more forgiving than I am if I slip up--or they will yell at me with the correction :)

2. If I'm having fun and am full of energy, the audience will have fun and be involved too.

3. With God, all things are possible, and He want me to succeed sharing His message more than I do, so there is really nothing to fear.
