Let's take the next step in our spiritual growth together as we encourage, inspire, uplift, and challenge each other to live our faith in our daily lives — and as we grow to understand how our spiritual lives affect the rest of our secular being.

The goal of this group is to help you strengthen your spiritual life by focusing on all the areas that we are able to grow spiritually — which cover more areas than most people think. If this is a goal that you have and you want to enter a community of people who will encourage you and help you grow into being the men and women we were created to be, then this is your group.
With Jesus as our foundation, and a supportive group of amazing group members, we are able to grow effectively in our own personal growth areas, as well as in a community where we are able to connect with each other in meaningful ways! (Learn more about the chart in this discussion.)
Join us on the journey that we all face: which is wrestling how to effectively live out our purpose and passion and be able to have peace in Jesus amidst the storms of life.

That's awesome that you are starting a 48Days Seminar. It might be something I'll tackle in the future.
Have a Victorious Day!

Comment by Camden Ross on November 5, 2011 at 6:56am Hi Guys,
The next Growing with Jesus discussion has just been posted. In this discussion we continue looking at prayer, and if there might be something that actually keeps our prayers from even being heard in heaven. To weigh in on the discussion, click here.
Also, I recently watched a superhero movie that touched on an interesting spiritual truth, and while Hollywood stopped short of where they could have gone, there are clear Christian themes woven into this movie. Read my response on this new superhero movie here.
And the third awesome thing in my life that is happening is that I am launching the 48 days seminars in Idaho. If you live in Idaho and want more information on the when/where/$$$ details, shoot me a message here. (Or talk to me in person if you know me offline ;). I am super excited at the next semester of small groups happening at my church. There are going to be lives transformed and freed for God's kingdom!
Have a great weekend and I am interested on your responses to these two discussions and newsy update. :)

P.S. I might be speculating, but by the time we finish our Growing with Jesus discussion series, I feel pretty confident calling it the longest regular 48days.net group discussion series. It may need a discussion dedicated just to be it's table of contents. :)
Comment by Camden Ross on October 30, 2011 at 4:33pm Prayer as a privilege is something that many people don't understand. Prayer seems to 'easy' and easy things are often viewed as insignificant, or unimportant.
However while prayer is very 'uncomplicated', it is very challenging to build it into a habit and incorporate into our lifestyles. Too often we don't see the results that we were hoping for out of prayer and then classify it as a failure, even though prayer was given to us for our benefit. Praying to God helps us grow. God doesn't 'need' the conversation, even though He enjoys it.
Appearances and first impressions are almost always deceiving. It is sad when I see people calling themselves Christians who are living in spiritual darkness, especially when they know about prayer. I also find it very interesting to meet people (usually not athiests, but not professed Christians), who are more Christ-like than many Christians act. This is pretty disheartening for me and it does no good for the image of Christianity/Christ.
Prayer, when taken seriously, is an amazing privilege and if we occasionally pause and just imagine the implications and gift that God has given us to pay attention to us personally in a universe of beings, it is overwhelming.
Thanks for sharing.
