How do members of Speak it Forward feel about speaking bureaus?  I have talked to many speakers as I have tried to break into the business.  A few said they were helpful while others say they were not.  What are your experiences with them? Thanks,TomContinue

Okay gang, JUST signed up for Kent's Speak It Forward bootcamp AND his Killer Keynote Conference (Killer Keynote only has four spots left last I heard - HOWEVER, wouldn't doubt those spots will be GONE soon especially after his great presentation at Coaching With Excellence this afternoon). Although this is my THIRD time going to SIF - I have NO doubt there will be things to pick up that will lend into doubling my income next year. If you are on the fence for going, I will tell you it is going to be TOTALLY worth it! If you are still on the fence for going, GO and if you up for it, know I totally would be appreciative if you would consider using my affiliate link by clicking HERE. It is going to be a hoot getting to see everyone.

I don't do this too often, but every once in a while I share a post link here. This is one of those quick posts that will make your day more focused and positive while equipping you to become a better speaker. Enjoy!

Way to go, Greg!

Great success story! It really made me think of what I am missing. I just returned from an 1100 mile, seven day, three full paid seminar tour. I was able to get a deal on a Branson, MO condo and use that as my home base for the seminars. Three different organizations and locations. My wife joined me for a working vacation. What I missed was the product. I MUST finish my book! I missed around 275 opportunities to share even more of my message than the 90 minutes that each attendee heard. Kent, thanks for the reminder and I look forward to seeing you at the Sanctuary next week. gg

As always, Kent, you are leading what you teach.

Serving others.

Just a reminder...you never know what can happen.

Yesterday I spoke to a small group of educators (approximately 100) in a very small town. Great people. Salt-of-the-earth teachers who are investing in the lives of students week-in and week-out. I love working with people like this. My goal yesterday was to serve and invest in them in every way I could with everything I had.

Now here's where the surprise came in (actually two surprises). Both had to do with the business of speaking, not with the art of speaking.

First surprise is they paid my full fee without blinking an eye. (For those who have been to the boot camp, this is not my full "student" fee, but my full educator fee for a full-day of service.) LESSON: Don't judge a book by its cover. Sometimes the organizations that can definitely pay your fee will squabble the most while others you think will squabble because they are smaller end up paying your fee with no questions asked.

Second surprise is how much product I sold. I sold out of everything and ended up selling another $500 online. I sold to practically everyone in the room. No pressure. No long pitch. But after 6 hours of investing in their lives, encouraging them in what they do, making sure they realize their investment in the next generation is HUGE, giving them valuable content, and just rubbing shoulders with them, they all wanted to take the message and experience home with them. LESSON: Alway, AWLAYS take product.

Bottom line, one of the things I love about speaking is you never kow what's going to happen, when it's going to happen, and why it happens. So get busy speaking it forward, my freinds. And enjoy the journey...

(BTW, I did use strategies I teach at the Speak It Forward Boot Camp and the Killer Keynote Conference. This strategies were not the reason for the great response, but they did create the environment for such a great response to occur.)

Awesome Kimanzi. Man, you're making it happen. I'm inspired. Add me to the list. I'm Jared's side-kick from the beginning. Lol. He'll attest to that as he shares in his tweets.

Keep on rocking it brother.

See ya soon.

BTW: missed you at Podcast Movement and I'll have you on my new show soon. You rocked the last one.

BOOM!  Kent you're the man!  And Kimanzi... man do I want to hop on that airplane!  I mean... Maui or Boston in December... hmmm.... let me think about that for a minute!  This year we have a few big year-end projects in December so I won't be able to get out... looks like I'll only be working hard.  I hope this is a first annual!

Aloha everyone! Very excited to host a conference with Mr Podcast Movement, Jared Easley, here in Maui! As a speaker, having my own conference has been a main goal. The second being traveling to countries I haven't been too :) http://workhardplayhardsummit.com/
