Jason - Thanks so much.  I'm really pleased with the Mommy Sabbatical promo video result - especially since it was all put together volunteer-style by my friend Scott.

I absolutely love the intro-craft you are doing. One of these days, when Mommy Sabbatical is creating some nice cash-flow...I'm gonna have to hire you!!

Thanks for your kind words, everybody. I really do want to help you put your best foot forward. So, even if you just want to chat, feel free to give me a shout.

Kent, well put. Thanks for sharing that.

Teri, very nice. This is such a great idea for moms who need some "me" time. Wishing you the best! :)

When it comes to video...here are a few rules of thumb.

Content is king! Are you clear? Are you engaging? Are you passionate? Are you funny? Content is king...quality of the video is definitely secondary.

No video is better than a bad video. If your content is not solid yet, your video will hurt more than help.

Speaking gig at MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) -

Scott Stearman created a quick video from it. Super excited to be able to use it for Mommy Sabbatical promos!

Hey Jason...congrats!! Love the videos!!!! They ROCK! (Even though I know the quality of video I gave you you wasn't perfect - you made them look AWESOME!) It has made a big difference getting to have these on the site, especially as this week I just sent out 18 emails yesterday to brand new organizers that I have never contacted before who are in my niche. As of today, 3 have already responded back. I have to believe that the videos totally added to their interest.

A note of encouragement for those without videos...don't worry about your shots or talk being perfect to get them done. I know we should all put our best foot forward, but seriously, the videos I sent to Jason were a bit shaky. He was able to "fix" the video in terms of taking the best parts of the talk out and minimizing the shaking so it really turned out great. In addition, a secret I would probably only share with this group is that while the stage was AWESOME for this shoot...there was hardly anyone in the audience. Why would I do this? Because I knew videos were needed and I had the opportunity to do a talk with a kick butt background. Plus...who ever really knows who is in the audience that needs our message only when there is a handful of people. Good reminder to always do your best and make the best of any situation.
