Was honored to be featured on John Lee Dumas podcast today - had a hoot of a time getting to do.

Jeff...I totally knew what the round thing is. I was trying to demonstrate that you are probably assuming people know what it is. If it's not crystal clear, don't put it in a video unless you reference it (e.g. "Before I was a professional speaker, I was a professional drummer and I'm up here in my studio..."). If you don't do something like that, some people watching the video will ask themselves, "I wonder what that round table thingie is made of and why is it in this video?" :)

This is great info guys! Thanks so much! So, I moved my office around, which I needed to anyway, and now I have a better background without a ceiling on my head, lol. Btw, one of my key contacts, just favorited and retweeted the video, so that is a huge win!!! (Kent) that round thing is an African drum. I officially got rid of the band and drum influence in my background. That was a big step :)

Jeff...EXCELLENT. You are great in front of the camera. I will disagree with my friend Jen, I think the length is fine. 3 minutes or less is what we want to go for.

My only suggestion would be to be a bit more strategic about where you record. I know you're trying to get in front of certain framed pictures, but it looks like your head is squished right up against the ceiling. Also, I found myself looking at the pictures instead of listening to what you were saying. The "ceiling right above your head," the "framed pictures," and "what's the round table top thing" kept me from listening intently. Perhaps next time find a simpler environment. Even outside on a deck or next to a tree works well.

Hope these thoughts helps.

Jeff, just coming off of doing teacher in-services this last two weeks. I see the differences every time. Teachers inspired and ready to move and change the world by changing the lives of their classroom. Then others that just mock and sit in the corner not wanting to be there.
It is a great video and I am glad that you challenged teachers to go and make a difference.

Jeff, that was a great video!  I echo Jen's comment about you being so comfortable in front of a camera.  Nice job!

P.S.  I had one of those teachers in school who encouraged me.  Her name was Mrs. Ogg.  I was a Junior in HS and she pulled me aside one afternoon and said, "Julie, you have such talent.  I am so excited about all of the wonderful things you are going to do in  the world!"

That was over 30 years ago and I remember it like it was yesterday!

Great work your doing, Jeff.

Jeff - admire how comfortable you are in front of a camera - you came across as very authentic and very approachable! Might go a little shorter next time - people have such short attention spans, but perhaps teachers might love the length. Anxious to hear back on how it goes and how you will be sharing it with teachers. Great work!

WOW! I was super inspired today to make this short video for teachers going back to school. I made it in one take with no editing. What do you think?

Be honest...
