I agree with this statement so very much:

Loving the reminder that stick-to-it-tiveness is our greatest competitive advantage!  

 So important and vital.  Especially early in the game.  

I consider myself a "Rookie" to the whole getting paid to speak thing.  Attending Kent's Speak It Forward Boot Camp was one of the best things a new speaker can do!  

I have an interesting story that happened to me when I returned home from the Boot Camp in November.  I had a woman from the Dental Association contact me regarding a speaking engagement this April!  She contacted ME!  She did not provide a phone number, so I could only respond via email.  She asked what my "fee" was????

Egggadddss!!!  What did Kent say about that??  Oh, yes!  Set your fee and state it with confidence.  That is exactly what I did.  Never heard back!   

I emailed her back (Thank You Coach Jen:)) after the first of the year.  What I discovered was that her budget was well below my fee.  So much so that after much contemplation, I decided it would not be a good fit.  HOWEVER.......I told her I still wanted an opportunity to serve her and the Dental Assistant Students who would be attending the conference. Because I am a Career Coach and these were graduating students, I offered to provide each student with a free product to assist with interviewing.  It is a product I already have done and it's ready to go!  

This woman has bent over backwards thanking me!!  She can not believe how generous that was:)  It brought such a smile to my face to be able to walk away from something that may not have been a good fit for me, but still provide value.  And....I will have a multitude of students visiting my website to get their free product. 

Getting out there is a learning process, taking chances,  integrating great counsel from people like Kent and Jen and just doing it.  Relentlessly:) 

I do have to give a plug for Jen and her list building services.  DO IT!  Great investment!

Since transitioning out of my full time j.o.b. last July - having a hoot of a time and SOOO enjoying working in my passion. Finding the marketing method you teach at SIF to be totally spot on. Using my list builds, I am already have 7 nicely paid speaking gigs booked for 2015 with several pending. All of these have stemmed from sending ONE email from the list builds my team and I put together. 

If you are looking to take your 2015 speaking higher, would definitely recommend SIF as well as investing in your list building. If you need help with list building, please check out my list building services HERE

Encouragement on why you want to SPEAK IT FORWARD in your marketing (i.e. for those who have attended the Speak It Forward Boot Camp - keep plugging away at your "serving-focused, revolving door marketing").

Last year at the start of January, I had 4 signed contracts. I ended the year with 40+.
