Way to kick butt Bryan. True about moving in one area in your life will make it easier to move it in all areas.

Excited for you Bryan.

Super excited.  This week after leaving boot camp, I have landed teaching a First Year Experience class at the college I work for it will allow me to see if speaking to college students is my niche.  I pick up a new client for my personal financial coaching business, and I got a raise.

Many of these events are not directly related to the working I have been doing towards public speaking but I know that once you start moving in one area of life you start getting movement in other areas as well.

Kent! Do you have an idea of the dates of the next Speak it Forward? I know you said the beginning of November, but I was wondering if you knew the exact dates yet?

Good choice on Decisive. It was one of my favorites in 2013. Good ideas for both personal and professional development.

Hey Ryan,

Thanks for recommending Decisive. I've heard others mention it as great book to read as well. I'll put it in an upcoming book purchase (once my wife starts saying it's OK to get more books -- which will come when we have more bookshelf space. :)

Kent - adding a critique of an actual video presentation is a HUGE new component for your boot camp.  Having a message is one thing - but getting feedback on your look, mannerisms, tone of voice, dress, energy, humor, etc is a major piece of real success in the speaking world.  Rock on!

Hey folks,

I've been doing medium to large event corporate speaking and training for a decade now. I started by speaking for free to small groups and built from there.

I've also published books, done a ton of media, and know what it takes to succeed in this very, very, very tough business.

So... If I can offer any advice to anyone here in the group don't be afraid to ask.

Be warned, I'm extremely honest in my responses and offer advice based on my experience and opinion.

The advice is free and worth every cent :o)

You can learn more about me here http://timknox.com/

If I can assist, just yell.
