MIKE THANKS FOR REACHING OUT TO THE ALAMO GROUP AND FOR THE INVITE!
SOUNDS LIKE THE "JASON'S" GOT MIXED TOGETHER?
JASON (NO BROTHERS), RENTING A SMALL OFFICE IS NO "SMALL" STEP.
THE THOUGHT OF HAVING TO "SETTING UP" AN OFFICE AWAY FROM HOME IS HARD, TOO HARD FOR MOST START UPS. SOME ADVICE: WORK AT HOME, GET THE CHILDREN OUT DURING "OFFICE TIME", AND MAYBE LOOK FOR A "OFFICE GROUP" WHO SHARE TIME, SPACE, AND EQUIPMENT. BUT, I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOUR J-O-B IS REQUIRING OF AN "OFFICE"? REMEMBER" THERE"S NO PLACE LIKE HOME; CLICK YOUR HEELS AND REPEAT". THE WIZARD OF OZ

TOOK THE FIRST STEP, HAVE'NT LOOKED BACK, AND HAVE'NT FALLEN, IF I DO I'LL PICK IT UP AND WILL REACH MY GOAL IN 3 YEARS! SO DON'T BE AFRAID TOO START!
LOOKING FORWARD TO GETTING THE HELP I NEED!

Hello to everyone and Mike thanks for the invite. I am looking for a template of a business plan that is clear and concise any suggestions?

That is ok. Life happens especially this time of year. I e-mailed you the chapter. Thanks for the feedback. Think over the two topics i mentioned and we see what others may say about them as well. Merry Christmas to you and all in the Master Plan group.

Jason,

So sorry I haven't gotten back with you with your last post--been very busy--Christmas with family, work, shopping, day-to-day "stuff". Anyway, I would love to read the first chapter in your book! Send it to my email at fayeb_diehl@hotmail.com.

Steve,
Thanks for the feedback. I will reread what you said and look at your insights closely in the future. Keep the feedback coming . This web site is wonderful. Nevertheless, you said "a few days ago you listed your goals and one was to open an office because you said it's hard to work at home with the kids there" i think you may have confused with some else because I am single and have no children

This sounds like a very interesting group and conversation and one in which I would like to participate. I work two part time jobs right now (secretarial) for small local business, write freelance, have a manuscript being considered by a publisher and hopefully to be published, one book published in 2001 and just launched my website and am beginning a biblical health coaching business in earnest (as opposed to coaching people informally and for no financial reward). I have one son on his own, one graduating college in May and a daughter graduating high school in June and all that comes with these things (loans, etc.) My husband is a high school teacher and works very hard. I have a great degree of freedom to pursue my dreams (the website/coaching business) and want also to sell information products to create multiple income streams and passive income. The part time jobs allow me to do that. But I an feeling my way (by prayer and steps of faith!) So I look forward to sharing and learning from you all!

Jason, a few days ago you listed your goals and one was to open an office because you said it's hard to work at home with the kids there. That comment really hit me. I didn't grow up with a father working from home, but my best friend did. I've known him since we were little kids. The kids were never allowed to disrupt their father's business. Starting when he was in second grade his father used one of their extra bedrooms as an office and the family rule was that you never interrupt dad during business hours. That part of the house had to be kept quiet. He has told me how he doesn't remember one time in his life that he or his siblings were reprimanded for breaking those rules. He said his parents made the rules of the house and the kids knew not to break them. He told me that years later he and his father discussed it and why it worked so well. His father told him it was a matter of having kids under control and then having a business at home was no problem and they were able to save the money an office would have cost, which made his business more successful at a faster pace. I share this with you because it seems that people always want to spend money to have an office or other things they could do without if they made some adjustments. The savings could be great for you. I would encourage you to consider that possibility and maybe it will help you get your business growing faster.

Faye,

I love your book idea. Prayer has been a theme woven in the tapestry of my life. My personal testimony (of course, as of the time time it was written, `03), is the first chapter of a book that i am working on. It is a nine-step lifestyle manual on how a family can tackle a disability as it enters into the family dynamic without the various stages of life. i can send you that chapter for your feedback if you like

Two ideas to discuss:

1. The Scriptures declare In everything give thanks not for everything give thanks and i think we interrupt it the other way. Any thoughts?

2. In the context of Matthew 6, prayer is seen as foremost an overarching worship encounter in God's presence. Once His presence arrives he will respond to the request. Also Revelation picks up on the interrelationship between prayer and worship with the harp and bowl imagery. Harp=worship , bowel intercessions or prayers

On a lighter note, i understand the age thing i so get it I sure did not think i would be here (living at home with my parents, again) at age 29 and single no less.

Thoughts?
