Leap is about starting a business and doing your own thing. Jump into the discussions or start your own and let's make it happen!
I used to be an airline pilot. If I can leave a six-figure job and start my own business unrelated to my major, you can too. I help people start their business and do it full time. I'm also a Professor at the Free Agent Academy, a group Dan Miller started in 2007 to help support people in becoming self-employed.
I host a few weekly shows, among them the No More Mondays Show and Coach Radio. You can read more about my story, but this is a group for you. Jump in and let's make it happen.

Comment by Ann Musico on June 21, 2012 at 3:07am Nathan: How awesome! What a very cool way to begin the day and I totally agree with finding and maintaining balance in life! And my personal opinion is that the BEST way to find balance is in nature and you are surrounded by it! You did an awesome job putting that video together. It was nice to get to know who you are and not just what you do. I definitely think it was good to add something that personalizes it - let's people get to know who you are beyond what you do.
Comment by nathan miller on June 20, 2012 at 9:28pm Thanks Ann! It's been to set up and I'm hopeful it will prove to be a fruitful venture... time will tell.
One thing I did with the blog today is add some personal stuff. I thought it might help people understand my approach to life and my quest for balance. Have a look and let me know what you think (if you want). I have a ton of fun putting the post/video together.. I just hope it was a smart move putting stuff about me on there and not just my work.

Comment by nathan miller on June 20, 2012 at 8:35am Hi all! As it turns out my "leap" to full time work is happening sooner than I expected. I'm getting pushed out of the nest as it were. Anyway, I have resurrected my old blog to chronicle my journey throughout this year and I thought you might like to follow along. Having a few followers will encourage me to keep up with the blog too. :)

And keep an eye out. I have a few ideas for making the jump that I'll be sharing. I would love to hear your feedback. :)
Comment by Marianne Clements on February 28, 2012 at 6:05pm George,
Glad to hear you are getting settled and have started your coaching business. I started my coaching business last year, but I have been mainly focused on writing the past few months. I'm writing something that is currently entitled The Bible: Connecting the Pieces of the Puzzle. It's been quite an experience doing all of the research for this book and I'm getting close to completing it. My next book, which I intended to write first, is called Seven Steps to Victory, and I have quite a bit of material for that as well.
Have a Victorious Day!

Comment by John McCabe II on February 28, 2012 at 7:47am Hi everyone, I'm looking at a new employment venture that could be a step towards my goal of self employment. Does anyone have tips on negotiating results based pay over the horrible hourly pay standard?
