Comment by Justin Lukasavige on March 6, 2012 at 11:16am A lot of people need to take cold showers after listening to me. ;)
Comment by Andy Traub on March 6, 2012 at 9:52am Well done Dan. I'll never forget doing that and every day I think about doing it again. Maybe I should do it on MONDAYS!
Comment by Dan Miller on March 6, 2012 at 9:36am A couple weeks ago Andy and Justin were talking about The Flinch. I've used that idea of stepping in to a cold shower so many times with people as an example of getting through The Flinch. After hearing Andy and Justin talk about it again I finally got convicted - if I'm going to use that then I need to have done it. So I did - turned the shower on totally cold - waited until I seriously felt the flinch and then stepped in. It was right after I had had an emergency appendectomy and the first thing that happened was my calves cramped. But then I got over that - got used to the cold, shampooed my hair and thought - you know, this is not going to kill me. I did pretty quickly go to warm water but it was a great experience to actually DO IT rather than just talk about it. I love the concept - identify something that makes you flinch and walk through it. Great practice for moving into new areas of success in our lives.
Fantastic view on the "freedoms" of franchises. This is a good break down and view for people looking at them.
Thank you.
K, bye
