2012 is coming to a close....
I am thinking ahead towards 2013 and have my eyes set on some BHAGS but I need a plan!!
What resources have used to help you lay out your Strategic Plan for your businesses? finances? and everything else?
What other tips or advice can you share with the community as well as me?
What doesn't work?
Great blogs on the subject?
Coaches that specialize in helping people with this?
Books that have helped?
Conferences or workshops you would recommend?
Just all things Strategic Planning....
would love to know your thoughts!!
Good evening Marie,
Thank you so much for sharing a resource that is helping you!! I will most definitely check it out!!
I read this post in my email and was coming here to recommend the exact thing. I too have just started reading John Maxwell's 15 invaluable laws of growth.
I was looking to put together my goal for 2013 so I re listened to The EntreLeadership Podcast "Personal Growth with John Maxwell" to get a few idea. This led me to the book.
While I'm only through the first chapter I can say that John Maxwell sheds some great insight on personal growth in the above podcast. I'm looking forward to getting through this book by the end of the month and implementing his ideas into my 2013 goals for growth.
Tyrone~Thank you!! Looking forward to looking at the John Maxwell stuff!!
What do you want to accomplish with your BHAGS next year? Three years from now? Five years?
Start there and work backwards....what conferences do you need to help you with your goals?
What do you need to do each month to reach your goals?
Conferences and people will "appear" when you need them most!
Thank you for the great questions to think about!!
Love this "Conferences and people will "appear" when you need them most!"
Now is the perfect time to be making your 2013 plans (assuming you don't believe the Mayan predictions for December).
I've been teaching members of Free Agent Academy as the Roadmap Professor for two and a half years how to use a tool created by my mentor Chuck Bowen called the Simple Strategic Plan (SSP). In just a few pages, it takes you through a process of defining who you are, what you want and narrows your efforts into a 90 day action plan. Because it starts at the top and breaks everything down into manageable steps--ending with 90 day action plan--it's perfect for building a plan that can be refined and easily updated quarterly to attain big goals.
You can get a version of the SSP and a special MP3 download at http://www.WoosleyCoaching.com/ssp. I'm in the process of making some updates to make it even better, but I'm happy to share this with anyone who is interested.
And of course I'm also available for one-on-one or group coaching. Anyone can fill out the SSP and get some clarity, but I've found people making dramatic discoveries and progress when they use it in conjunction with coaching. I love helping people build a plan that works so they can achieve those BHAGS!
Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you so much for your help!! I will check out the link and get back to you with questions!! : )
Great resource, James. Very well thought out! I'll definitely be looking into this worksheet for the coming year. Thanks so much for the great resource!
You're very welcome, Eric (and thank you)! I'm glad you're enjoying my tools...please let me know if you have any questions and feel free to share them.
I just completed the first formal edit on my (long awaited) book. There are a few chunks left to flesh out, but I can't wait to get it done!
Kim I was going to say Lisa Graham and Caroline Gavin are two coaches I find SO helpful in helping me get my head clear and focused on what I want and need to accomplish next year. I took a look at that download James offered - it looks amazing!
