My dream has finally come true! Any suggestions?
After many months of hard work, my site is finally up! Check out www.Customstix.com. I started as a distributor in Feburary with a goal of 25 bands. Thankfully I exceeded my goal in October with 28 clients. After having dinner with some friends that shared with me a great idea, I went home and bought a domain name and began the journey.
Dan Miller has been a huge influence in my life and my business. The time I spent with him earlier this year really inspired me to start the current business that I have. He encouraged me to find the diamonds in my own backyard. Being the drummer for the band Big Daddy Weave, it was a natural fit to develop a business around custom printed drumsticks. I found a niche market that had lots of room to grow. The company that I distribute for has a patent on the process that they use to manufacture their sticks. This is the first time that this type of product (Custom personalized drumsticks) has been available to the public for only a 2 pair minimum order for such a great price!
We are still working on the final details, but the site is fully functional and ready to go. Still working on the mac version, but works great on Microsoft Explorer. Let me know your thoughts and suggestions.
This is a great idea for the drummer that has everything or the RockBand player. I use them every night on stage. They are great sticks!

Congratulations!
Took a quick look at your site and would suggest three things.
1. Push the company for more design options.
2. Get the company to allow for custom design uploads.
3. Go hard after the RockBand market. Make a video of yourself and friends playing RockBand with various sets of the custom sticks and distribute it on the social sites (video and otherwise).

Wow! I think this is an awesome idea! My son is a drummer and he would love to be able to design his own sticks or receive custom sticks as a gift! My only thought is this...as a consumer I would definitely pay $30 per pair for custom sticks. Getting them for $15 per set with free shipping is a steal! Good luck! I hope you are hugely successful!

CELEBRATE!!!! I always wanted to play drums, but ended up on the guitar and now play Bass in the praise band for Crossroads Community Church in Baxter, TN, but wouldn't mind one bit having a set of sticks autographed by the master drummer Jeff Jones!
A thought: Was on your site looking around and was thinking, dude (I'm 49 but I can still say dude!), when I go from link to link it would be great to hear a drum beat while the curser travels over each one! My own preference though. :-)
