Dan answered a big part of a question I had concerning the licensing of this tool, but here are some added considerations. I have a book self-publshed through Amazon's CreateSpace which is open to allow me to publish elsewhere, so I will also develop an eBook for sale through the iBooks App.

And...the iBooks Author App is really really really cool...and appears to be easy to use,

Is anyone else planning to publish though iBooks and Apple?

Funny you should bring this up.....today. I just listened to a recording of a Webinar today about publishing to the Amazon Kindle store - for 70% of the revenue. However, the speaker had a OTO (One Time Offer) showing you how to publish on other sites, develop more content, etc. One thing he mentioned was iPad/Apple. I looked and saw ways to publish to iBooks. There were apparently 2 (or more than 2) engines to publish though - one called Lulu allowed you to retain 90% of the profits.
I didn't do any more research than that. But, it sounded very hopeful.
Could I publish to both? I didn't see anything about proprietary agreements.
Could I sell 24,634 copies in a week's time? I'd sure love to find out! Haha.
