Unfortunately, I think of a dying city.  I'm not trying to be pessimistic, but honest.  That's just the image that comes to mind.  I hope you'll change my mind through your writing :)  I did see an article a while back about an initiative to conduct urban farming projects in some of the run down sections of Detroit, and that sounded like a fascinating movement.
