I am thinking about starting with an ebook and then do a podcast. A lot of ebook guides are $400 + Do I need a guide? How do I keep someone from stealing my information and writing one of their own?

Thank you!

Hi

The Best "How To" on writing an eBook that I have found is Operation eBook by Paula Brett.

One thing you can do if you are low on cash, is submit your eBook onto Amazon Kindle.  That is easy and free to submit (I believe they just charge you a percentage of sales), although less traffic (customers).

I was able to find someone on Fiverr.com to make eBook covers for 5 bucks and they did an awesome job. (Make sure you pick someone with a high approval rating.)

Clickbank or PayDotCom.com is the best place to get affiliates to sell your eBook for you though (they get a cut, but get you a lot more sales).

thanks for the tip!  I so need a better cover for our ebook/paperback! You can see it at our meat site and yes we know it's just not quite right yet-  it's got content that  can save meat eaters a lot of money!

I found a cool graphics tool here to make ebooks and other graphics.

No I am not an affiliate, but I am sorry for the long link ;)

You can see a sample of the ebook covers I made at my running blog

I also have used fiver, and agree that is a good way to do it.  In fact probably much quicker than learning photoshop, etc!

Another tip I would like to share is to test first, then create.  For example, I just put up three ebook covers on my site.  I have actually created one of the products, but two of them are there just for testing.  If I get a lot of clicks on the other two, then I may need to actually create the product.  Otherwise, it does not make sense to produce the item...

Have you read Pat Flynns free ebook on how to write an ebook?  It's very good.  http://www.smartpassiveincome.com/
I just read Pat Flynn's ebook as well. Good stuff. His podcast has some episodes which talk about the process. Dan's Write to the Bank info is a great source, too.

So glad you mentioned Pat's ebook! I second this!

Guys, I was really needing some info similar to Pamela, wandered across this thread, and found even better information than I was expecting! Thanks for recommending that Pat Flynn book!
